棒球場空間紀念性與保存價值之研究─以台北市立棒球場〈1957-2000〉為例

摘要

棒球運動在台灣的發展已有百年以上的歷史，它對於台灣的意義，從為數眾多的棒球相關書籍與研究論文中亦可得知。然而，與棒球運動息息相關的棒球場建築卻往往因為機能老舊就輕易被拆除，其價值受到嚴重的輕忽。本論文中企圖探討：棒球場作為棒球歷史發展的舞台，是否也應該有其紀念性價值；而其對於棒球歷史與記憶的延續又扮演著怎麼樣的功能。
台北市立棒球場為戰後台灣棒球發展的重要場域，亦為戰後台灣最古老的體育設施之一，從其誕生到拆除，橫跨了1950到1990年代，期間歷經數度的空間變遷，並多次作為台灣棒球史上重要事件的場景，可說是戰後體育設施中十分具有代表性的案例，故本論文擇其作為主要的研究對象。
本論文的研究方法為，以時代性、歷史性及其所承載記憶的特殊性等面向，探討台北市立棒球場的紀念性價值；再以棒球場作為一個喚起記憶的「介質」的角度，針對國外棒球場保存的案例進行分析比較，探討棒球場對於延續歷史、記憶的重要性。希望藉此作為判斷此類型建築物價值的立論，為此類型建築物的存留提供更多面向的思考。

The development of the baseball in Taiwan has already had history beyond a century, its meaning to Taiwan can also learn from numerous books and theses relating to baseball. However, the baseball field buildings closely linking with baseball is often removed easily because of its old function, its value has been seriously neglected. This research attempt to discuss that the baseball field is regarded as the stage of baseball history development, whether there also should be monumentality value , and what kind of function it have to continue history and memory about baseball.
Municipal Taipei Baseball Field is important field for development of Taiwan baseball after World War Ⅱ, and it’s also one of the oldest sports facilities in Taiwan after World War Ⅱ. From its born to demolition, stretching over 1950s to 1990s , going through the several times of space change, and being the scene of the important incident in the baseball history of Taiwan many times, it can be regarded as representative case in sports facilities after World War Ⅱ. So this research selects it as the main research object.
The approach of this research is, discussing the commemorative value of Municipal Taipei Baseball Field on views of era, history and memory, and regarding baseball field as “a medium” that arouses memory, analyzing and comparing with the case of foreign baseball field to discuss the importance of baseball fields to continue history and memory. Expecting to present argument for the value of this type of buildings, and provide more of views to think about this type of building.
