摘要

台灣傳統建築為先民生活起居之空間，為了美化生活空間，利用木雕、石雕、剪黏、泥塑、交趾陶、磚雕等為作建築裝飾。建築裝飾除了美化空間之功能外，也具有作為民間祈願、祝福、教化之功能，亦承載傳統匠師之專業知識。本文以傳統建築中「花籃吊筒」之裝飾構件為研究對象，分作兩部分探討，一為收集台灣傳統建築花籃吊筒之圖譜資料，並分析其圖像，探索花籃吊筒造型與圖像的發展歷程，深化花籃吊筒的歷史與文化厚度。二為討論花籃吊筒製作工藝，以製作工法、工料、工序、工具作為討論面向，從匠師的視角，解釋花籃吊筒造形成因，並探討匠師製作的專業知識與其內涵。

Taiwan traditional building is the living space for ancient people. Woodcarving, stone carving, fragmented ceramic cutting, clay sculpture, Jiao Zhi pottery and brick sculpture are being utilized as decoration of building. In addition to the nature of beautification, these architectural decoration are being endowed with the value of glorify, pray for the society and education, and represent an artisan’s professional expertise. In this article, the decorative component of“hanging basket” in traditional building is the subject of the study. The study is divided into two sections. The first section is the collection of handbooks of traditional hanging basket in Taiwan, and analysis of the pattern and the development history of the hanging basket design. The second section is a multi-faceted analysis, such as method, material, procedure and tool, of fashioning a hanging basket, and a study from the viewpoints of the artisan to examine the insight and expertism of the hanging basket design and formation.
