夢境.死亡.類心靈-電腦動畫創作《覷夢》

摘要


歷時兩年的影像創作,筆者運用3D軟體的重塑回憶與夢境中的主觀感受,而創作論述首先從腦神經科學與人文思想兩造截然不同的層面切入對夢境的探索,嘗試注視那個在當下意識聚焦之外,多數時間不被凝望,卻比五官所建構出的現實更為廣袤的潛意識世界;第二章則探討立基於非現實邏輯之上、影響筆者美學思考甚深的超現實主義視覺創作,這個部分將以超現實風格的實驗電影作為例子。最後是筆者闡述《覷夢》動畫製作的概念與技術流程,檢討目前製作方向與手法,試圖進一步開拓3D技術可應用的範圍。 研究與創作的過程中,也試圖將總是忙碌追趕外界資訊的自己從中抽離,回歸平靜的本源,這段期間曾嘗試閱讀心理學書籍,或接觸靈修知識來進行個人化的探索;並非對任何宗教產生認同,而是欲往與現實不同的方向與個體內在源頭作接觸。十多年來睡眠障礙的體驗,有感記憶與意識投射於腦海中的焦距逐漸模糊,雖失去清明的力道,但我寧願相信,那只是生命原有的感知能力無視於自我意識的約束,如遲緩匍匐的觸角般流淌,逐漸回歸原初集體潛意識的歷程,畢竟理性的意識只能作為靈魂的窗口而非主宰-然而這條介於現實與潛意識幽微難辨的界線,也將是未來探索創作路途持續不變的指標。

2 years in the making, the “Dream Gazer” project is created as a reconstruction of my subjective feelings of dreams and memories, with the help of 3D animation programs. The first chapter of this thesis starts by using Neuroscience and humanistic thinking, 2 completely different aspects, to explore the dreams, and attempts to probe into the subconscious world, which is out-of-focus most of the time but far wider than the reality created by our 5 senses. Chapter 2 focuses on the examples of surrealistic experimental movies that influenced my aesthetics and the project deeply. The last chapter is discussing the concepts, the techniques, and the process of making “Dream Gazer” animation. In the conclusion, I review my current artistic direction, skill levels, and the next possible 3D animation experiments. During the research and creative process, I tried to isolate myself from this information overloaded world, and returned to the source of peace and tranquility. During this period of time, I studied books of psychology, or contacted spiritual knowledge for my personal exploration. I didn’t want to admit to any religion, but try to contact the inner self in another way. With sleep disorders for over a decade, the focus of my memory and conscious is gradually blurred. I would rather believe it is the natural course that my perception is no longer constrained by my self-consciousness, and returning to the original collective unconscious. After all, the rational consciousness is only served as a window of soul rather than dominate. However, this faint borderline between reality and the subconscious will be sustained as the indicator of my future creative journey.
