《W.A.V.E. 城市微幅》是我在研究所期間最後一件新媒體表演作品。它總結了本人三年多在新媒體的範疇裡,對於創作方法的摸索,身體性的追求,與將創作視為理解當下社會環境下,人類所處的各種生存現狀的一種思考模式。 論文分為四章:第一章為針對新媒體與表演的提問與研究方向,與自身創作背景與過去作品介紹 。第二章是創作的中心論述, 對於身體存在與消失的見解與相關研究論點。 第三章從《W.A.V.E. 城市微幅》進入與作品相關更聚焦的研究思考過程與論述。第四章以新媒體與表演相關歷史脈絡與作品的介紹,帶入跨領域表演與新媒體表演中試圖探索的工作方法與態度。
《W.A.V.E.》is my latest new-media performance during my master study period. It concludes my three years research toward the method of creation, the pursuit of physicality in new-media art and the process of the artistic creation as a way of thinking and understanding the various states of human’s existence in the new-media society. There are four chapters in this thesis: In chapter 1, I introduced my questions and the direction of researching between the new-media art and the performing art. In chapter 2, there are 2 central discourses of my works which are the existence and disappearance of human body. In chapter 3, focusing on the work of《W.A.V.E.》, I led the 2 central discourses into more specific subjects, further more into analyzing the ideas behind each elements of the work and those related documents and drawings. From the historical references to the personal experience, the chapter 4 gives the overall introspection into the interdisciplinary and new media performance collaboration.
