黑色美國夢:全球化下台灣街舞的身體政治與認同渴望

摘要

台灣的街舞一向親美，不但長期以來對美國資深「創始」舞者懷抱著高度的崇敬，對於赴美「朝聖」也總是趨之若鶩。本文便是從對此現象的興趣與觀察出發，並根基於對「起源」的批判與分析，進一步地探問台灣街舞群體對於「原創」和「正統」的強烈想望。以及今日所認知的「街舞」樣貌，是如何在全球化下台灣的權力位階、強勢的美國街舞論述、與台灣社會長期的主體認同焦慮所發展而成，並已透過台灣街舞的訓練系統與舞蹈生態，以舞蹈中的身體接收、轉化此種具有文化性、歷史性與政治性意涵的認知。

本文從爬梳「街舞」一詞在台灣的多重涵義與台灣街舞內部張力的轉變開始，一路探尋被「黑人國族主義」、「非洲中心論」、「Hip Hop Nationalism」等政治論述影響甚深的美國街舞論述，是如何透過國族主義對時間的掌控、陽剛的主體思維、對本真性的塑造等，以構成街舞的身體特性，並藉由全球化與商業媒體的傳播形成「黑色美國」的神話，並在原本已具有性別與後殖民權力結構的台灣街舞群體中，產生出對「原創」和「正統」的論述與信仰，以及對「我」的渴求與追尋。本文也點出，此對「黑色美國」的崇拜，以及對自我認同的強烈渴望，如何透過現今台灣街舞舞者的舞蹈訓練歷程，形成台灣街舞以視覺為導向的舞蹈技術，並在多重視線與觀看的交錯與變化中，構成現今台灣街舞特殊的舞蹈身體。

最終，本文試圖建構起一具有歷史縱深、全球政治關係、身體實踐的知識論，以回答最終的核心關懷：「街舞於台灣在地化的意義為何？」。

Taiwan street dancers have a very close relationship to United States street dancers in long terms. Not only showing high respect toward “founding fathers" in U.S., numerous Taiwanese street dancers also travel abroad to U.S. for “pilgrimage”continually. Starting from the interests and observations of these phenomenons, this dissertation analyzed how the eager of “originality” in Taiwan street dance community developed and became the perception of “street dance” in Taiwan, and how it formed the dance training systems therefore generated the unique feature of Taiwan street dance dancing body. This dissertation depicted the transforming process of 1960’s black nationalism to 1960’s Funk dance, 1990’s hip hop nationalism to 1990’s Breaking in U.S., and the transmitting process from U.S. to Taiwan through global media. In the depicting process, this dissertation mainly explored how the perception of “street dance” in Taiwan tangled with the strong power of U.S. in globalization, and the identity yearning within Taiwan society. In conclusion, this dissertation attempted to construct an epistemology with history depth, global political space and dancing body practice, in order to answer the core concern：“ What are the localization meanings for Taiwan street dance community？”.
