摘要


繪畫上有不少藝術創作似乎都與哲學中所探討到的「存在」有著某種程度的關連性。它們激進地提出了關於生存的終極意義的問題,用各自方式共同表現了人類的境況:疏離、焦慮、罪疚、絕望、空虛、無意義……不但敏銳地為時代做了自我解說,且對這種困境的表達本身就體現出一種「存在的勇氣」,即勇敢地指向人的有限性並將它納入自身。二者揭露了生存中最致命的困惑,為這些困惑的解決提供了可能。筆者希望藉此主題的論述,從自我經驗出發,思索相關藝術創作或哲學角度探究其思考和提出問題的方式,尋得豐富自身創作的養分和答案,探索醒覺之存在與繪畫上的關係。內容中提出的作品主要為筆者2005~2007年期間的創作,藉發現存在不同之狀態呼應任何可能存在的樣貌,喚起其存在感,發展自我創作中對生存問題的積極回答的可能性。 論述內容共分為四個部分:第一部分為「緒論」。針對此創作論述之動機與目的、範圍與局限、方法與步驟等加以說明。第二部分為「繪畫表現與存在的聯繫」。試著從自我經驗出發,並對部分相關藝術創作作品或存在的文獻收集,探究其對存在主題的思考面向、提出問題的方式、和提供可能的解決作一簡單的探討,逐步發展自我創作的關注意向。第三、第四部分為自我「創作理念」與「作品解析」。由前述的經驗尋得豐富自身創作的養分和答案,提出自己的看法,探索創作中醒覺之存在和繪畫上的關係,以創作表現存在不同的狀態來呼應任何可能存在的樣貌,喚起其存在感,並對此系列作品之創作啟發、選材、表現形式、最終呈現等加以論述說明。最後一個部份的「結語」,包含了創作省思與展望,自省藝術創作對自身的意義與對未來創作的期待。希冀藉此論述由當下生活經驗開始,整理、延伸出創作的思緒脈絡,發展自我創作時的理念與思考意向,實驗創作關於存在議題的更多表現的完整性和可能性。

Many artistic creations in painting appear to be more or less correlated to the “existence” explored in philosophy. They drastically address issues related to ultimate significance about existence and jointly yet in their individual ways demonstrate human situations including indifference, anxiety, sense of guilty, despair, emptiness, insignificance…etc. While delivering interpretation in their own ways with an acute precision for the times, they vividly demonstrate the “courage to be existing” in the very expression of such a predicament, i.e., they bravely challenge and include their beings the limitedness about man. Both of the self-interpretation and the limitedness about man expose the most deadly puzzlement in surviving and provide at the same time probabilities to solve the puzzlement. This author attempts to borrow from discussion of this topic to start from self-experience in ruminating on finding their ways of thinking and addressing issues either at the angle of philosophy or the related artistic creation; looking for nutrients and answers to nourish self-creativity; and exploring into how the existence of sudden initiation is related to the art of painting. Works illustrated in this study are essentially related to those creations of this author completed during 2005 through 2007 motivated by discoveries of various states of existence in answering calls from any visage that may be existing, awakening its sense of being, and developing possibilities to come up with positive responds to surviving issues in self creativity. The discussion in this study is divided into four parts: Part 1: Introduction, describes motif, purpose, scope, constrains, methodology, and procedure of this creation; Part 2: Linkage between Expression and Existence in Painting attempts to start off from self-experience, engage documentary research partially related to works of artistic creation or existence, and have a summary discussion by venturing into aspects on thinking about the topic of existence, ways of creating issues and recommend possible solutions in the light of documentary research results thus to develop step by step intents and concerns justifying self creation; Part 3 and Part 4: Analysis of Self Creation Ideas & Works involves addressing the author’s comments, identifying the relation between the existence initialized in the course of creation quest and the art of painting, and recalling the sense of existence by responding to any visage than may exist from expressing different states of existence in the vehicle of creation, based on nutrients and answers of self creation paid by the self-experience as described earlier; thus to expound on initiation, materials selection, forms of expression, and final presentation of this series of works; and finally: Summary contains creation reflections and perspectives to self-examine what the artistic creation means to oneself and what is expected fro future creation in the hope to extend wider veins for the sentiments of thinking from compiling experience of real and current life, develop intends that lead ideas and thoughts in self creation, and seek to create by experiments integrity and possibility for more presentations on the topic of existence.
