摘要

在貝多芬的鍵盤作品當中，鋼琴變奏曲是作曲家最重要的創作形式之一，可以看出作曲家發揮創意的能力。其中《英雄變奏曲》是貝多芬最傑出的鋼琴變奏曲之一，所以以此曲為研究之題目。
本論文是以貝多芬的《英雄變奏曲，作品三十五》（Eroica Variations, Opus 35）為探討的主題，總共分成五個章節來做探究：第一章先介紹變奏曲的定義與種類、曲式與變奏技巧以及歷史發展，充分了解變奏曲的涵義；第二章則是介紹貝多芬生平與音樂風格特色，把它分成早期、中期和晚期來做深入研究；第三章乃針對貝多芬《英雄變奏曲》的創作背景來加以探討，並介紹鄉村舞曲的主題特色。第四章則是將貝多芬《英雄變奏曲》分成四個部份來做詳盡的樂曲結構及變奏手法分析；第五章則是從力度、聲部、旋律對比、節奏型態以及音域的各種角度來做分析以及探討。

Piano variations is one of the most important genre of Beethoven’s Piano Works. “ Eroica Variation” is often considered the most outstanding one among Beethoven’s Variations written in his middle period.
The topic of this paper is an analysis and interpretation of Beethoven’s “ Eroica Variations ”. There are five chapters in this paper. Chapter One is the introduction of variation form which includes definition, types, form and history of piano variation. Chapter Two discusses Beethoven’s life and his three creative periods. Chapter Three focuses on the historical background of Eroica Variations. Chapter Four portrays the structure and variation technique of the piece. Chapter Five explores the performance issues in aspects of dynamics, voicing, melody contrast, rhythmic structure and register.
