摘要

本論文主要說明筆者翻譯本校神學院院長王崇堯教授所著之《台灣鄉土神學》過程中所採用之策略與技巧，探討翻譯理論的應用與實務。《台灣鄉土神學》一書旨在探討台灣鄉土神學的發展背景及未來展望，因此研究中採用韋努蒂所提出的異化翻譯策略，並探討翻譯實務過程中使用之技巧、所遇之問題與解決方法。本論文共分五章，第一章說明本論文的研究動機、目的與研究方法，第二章簡介《台灣鄉土神學》一書的作者及內容，第三章概略性地回顧神學方面的翻譯研究與異化翻譯理論，第四章為筆者翻譯過程的整理、翻譯策略與技巧的運用以及翻譯過程中的問題討論，最後一章結論總結筆者對整個翻譯、研究過程的心得及建議。

This thesis discusses the application of translation theories and techniques to the translation of one of the chapters in Taiwan Homeland Theology, a book by Rev. Dr. Wong Chong-gyiau on the development and arguments of contextualized theology in Taiwan. Chapter one presents the motive, the purpose and the methodology of the thesis. A brief introduction of the author and the book is given in chapter two. In chapter three, the author reviews studies concerning theological translation from Chinese to English as well as Foreignizing translation strategies proposed by Lawrence Venuti. Chapter four focuses on the author’s translating process and strategies, techniques used during the process. The problems observed during the process are also examined. Chapter five summarizes what the author has learned and her overall experiences in translating the book and offers recommendations for future studies.
