國際巧固球總會網站文件中文化－以諾德文本分析模型進行翻譯與翻譯研究

摘要

巧固球是民國六十六年由瑞士發展起來的球類比賽，台灣很早就引進推廣，國際間亦相當重視台灣球隊的表現，但是在國際巧固球總會官方網站上的文件下載區，可供下載的繁體中文版之翻譯文件卻不齊全。有鑒於國際巧固球總會的官網是國際間推廣巧固球運動的指標性網站，因此本研究運用功能主義學派之理論學家Christiane Nord所提出之文本功能模型理論，對下載區之英文版文件進行分析，藉此找出合適之翻譯策略，協助國際巧固球總會將其官方網站下載區之文件繁體中文化。本研究發現如下：（一）承接翻譯任務前，若能確實擬定翻譯綱要並分析原文目的，即使原文品質不佳或可能影響譯者理解，譯者仍可就錯誤之處進行思考並擬定可行之譯法，盡可能使譯文滿足使用者需求。（二）建議初入行的譯者，最好能在承接任何翻譯任務前，事先熟悉翻譯綱要的功能趨向，評估是否可完成指定的翻譯綱要後再行接案，特別是具有法律效益或與之有同等效益的文件，因為了解原文狀態與事前的溝通會是影響翻譯任務成敗的重要關鍵。

Tchoukball, a sport originated and developed in Switzerland, has been played in Taiwan since 1977. It is governed by the Federation Internationale de Tchoukball (FITB, founded in 1971, based in Geneva). There has thus far been relatively little documentation in Traditional Chinese version that can be downloaded on FITB website. In considering the domestic promotion of Tchoukball, this study utilizes the theoretical framework of Christiane Nord’s Model of Text Functions to identify a suitable translation strategy for the translation of the documentations. This study concludes with two suggestions. First, it is important to familiarize the source texts if one can access the texts in advance. Secondly, for translation novices a clear translation brief and text analysis are suggested before taking on any translation tasks. It helps the translator think ahead to deal with the possible difficulties in the task.
