護理臨床教師人格特質與教學自我效能之相關性研究

Relationships Between Personality Traits and Teaching Self-Efficacy in Clinical Nursing Preceptors.

摘要


本研究目的在了解護理臨床教師之人格特質與教學自我效能的現況,並進一步探討其相關性。本研究採橫斷式問卷調查法,研究對象為南部二醫療院所之護理臨床教師。以方便取樣方式,共發出問卷188份,回收185 份,回收率98.4 %,扣除填答不完整之無效問卷13份,計有效問卷達172份。研究結果顯示護理臨床教師的的整體教學自我效能平均值達3.86分,依平均數高低得分依序為:和諧的人際關係構面、客觀的教學評值構面、成熟的個人特質構面、豐富的專業能力構面及有效的教學策略構面。整體教學自我效能與個人屬性的年齡、婚姻、教學年資、職稱、及職級有顯著關係。在與人格特質的關係上,除「聰穎開放性」之外,整體教學自我效能與人格特質中的「嚴謹自律性」、「外傾支配性」、「和善性」呈顯著正相關、與人格特質中的「神經質」呈顯著負相關。本研究結果可作為醫院護理主管進行護理臨床教師相關師資培育訓練規畫之參考。

The purposes of this study were to examine the statuses and relationships of personality traits and the teaching self-efficacy in clinical nursing preceptors. The study methods applied a cross-sectional design using structured questionnaires. A total of 172 participants were recruited from two hospitals in south Taiwan through a convenient sampling procedure. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, one-way ANOVA, and Pearson’s correlations. The results of the study showed that clinical nursing preceptors had an average score of 3.86 in the teaching self-efficacy. In terms of the five dimensions of the teaching self-efficacy, the score from the highest to lowest was harmonious interpersonal relationship, objectivity of teaching evaluation, maturity of personal characteristics, proficiency of professional knowledge and effective teaching strategies. Personal characteristics including age, marital status, years of teaching experience, job titles, and the job ranking had significant relationships with the teaching self-efficacy. In consider with personality traits, except to the “Openness”, the teaching self-efficacy had significant positive relationships with the “Conscientiousness”, “Extraversion”, and “Agreeableness”; and the significant negative relationships with the “Neuroticism”. The results of the study can be a reference to the hospital nursing administrators in caring of clinical nursing preceptors for preceptor training courses.
