《巫聲》——以《山海經》為基礎的八聲道音場創作

摘要


《山海經》的衍生創作雖多數重視視覺而忽略聽覺,但《山海經》中仍有許多針對聲音的描述,且為「非常」之聲。那麼是否可將《山海經》作為電子音樂的創作源泉,讓形態各異的神怪鮮活起來,透過聲音表達《山海經》的世界觀。 《巫聲》是以《山海經》為核心,以八聲道系統為呈現方式的聲音作品。筆者使用現有的音樂科技方法,取樣自然界具體聲響為原始素材,借助音頻效果器及磁帶技術對素材調整塑形,試探音色變換的可能性,在不斷陌生化變化聲音的過程中,創造虛與實模糊邊界的音色,產生熟悉又新奇的聽感。同時透過《山海經》與《樂記》「八音」及文王(後天)八卦概念的有機結合,傳達《山海經》的世界觀,帶來既能引發深層思考又「身歷其境」的聽覺體驗。本論文第一章緒論主要闡述研究背景與動機,範圍與限制,架構與步驟;第二章文獻探討主要包括《山海經》、具象音樂、八聲道系統概述及相關研究與創作;第三章研究設計介紹了研究流程、研究方法與研究工具;第四章創作執行從作品意涵與創作觀念、電子音樂設計及八聲道編排三個方面闡述;最後第五章結論進行創作討論與省思,並提出未來創作發展的可能性。本研究創作的價值在於透過八聲道電子音樂作品的詮釋,提供體驗《山海經》遠古世界的新角度。 關鍵字:山海經、八聲道、具象音樂

Derivative works based on the “Classic of Mountains and Seas (Shan Hai Jing)” pay more attention to vision and ignore hearing. However, there are many descriptions of “surreal” sounds in “Classic of Mountains and Seas”. So is it possible to take “Classic of Mountains and Seas”as inspiration for creating electronic music, making variety of spirits distinctive and vivid, and express the world view of “Classic of Mountains and Seas” through the sounds? “Illusory” is an electroacoustic piece inspired by "The Classic of Mountains and Seas", which is a Chinese classic text and a compilation of mythic geography. This piece worked with "eight-channel sound" spatialization. “Illusory” utilizes recorded sounds as raw material; and the composer modified the sounds through the application of audio effects and tape manipulation techniques, assembling them into a form of montage. In the process of constant sound variation, “Illusory” create the sounds between virtual and real. At the same time, the organic unity of “Classic of Mountains and Seas”, the concept of "eight sounds (ba yin)" and “King Wen ‘Later Heaven’ bagua” brings an immersive experience to the ancient world of "The Classic of Mountains and Seas”. In this study, the introduction in Chapter 1 covers the the research background and motivation of creating, the scope and limitations of the research, and the research structure and steps. Chapter 2 consists of the overview of “Classic of Mountains and Seas”, Musique concrète, "eight-channel sound" and derivative works. Chapter 3 introduces the research process, methods and tools. Chapter 4 covers descriptions of the creating concepts and processes, including the background of “Illusory”, electronic sound design and eight-channel programming. Finally, discussion of the proposed work and future work are included in Chapter 5. The value of this research is to provide a new perspective on the ancient world of “Classic of Mountains and Seas”.
