背光模組(Back Light Unit)為液晶顯示器面板(TFT-LCD Panel)的關鍵零組件之一,由於液晶本身不發光,背光模組之功能即在於供應充足的亮度與分佈均勻的光源,使液晶顯示器面板能正常顯示影像。而技術能力是生產製造廠商最重要的競爭力之一,在背光模組產業中,客戶對產品的品質及產能需求不斷提高,生產背光模組的公司,必須持續的進行生產流程創新與改善,以提升生產效率及追求更高品質為目標,才可以保持較佳的競爭優勢。 目前台灣約有20家生產背光模組之公司,由於產業技術及資金進入的門檻較低,因此競爭相當激烈。本研究將嘗試呈現背光模組在產品與材料創新使用上,需要設計符合客戶要求而開發低成本材料及容易組裝的製程,而達到降低成本的目標。 背光模組除了各項產品功能及品質被客戶要求不斷提昇,更是需要配合客戶開發採用低成本或低價作業之新材料或零組件。為達到降低成本之目的,因此背光模組產業更是需要持續不斷的從事開發生產流程創新與改善的技術,以配合採用低成本且合宜的材料持續創造利潤。故本研究討論建立背光模組產業之技術發展,必須利用產品創新的模式並顧慮到搭配流程創新的能力,改變產品架構或材料設計變更,而達到成本降低的目標,推究出更具競爭力的生產製程,以做為其他製造生產工廠或業界參考標準。
Back Light Unit is the one of TFT-LCD Panel’s key modules. The ability of technology to conduct process innovation is one of the most important competition for manufacturers. In the Back Light Unit industry, the quality of production and output will rise continuously due to customers’ demand and Back Light Unit company must continue to provide production process innovation and improvement. This study is to study technological development and the main production process innovation of the Back Light Unit company. One of the main findings is that firm need to match the process innovation capability with the product innovation in order to adopt new product structure and material design to achieve the desire reduction of cost. Then, more competitive production manufacturing can become a standard procedure for the other manufacturing factories or industries.
