In recent years Government has invested in the first major education technology project in Honduras, it was called @Prende (Le@rning), which basically consisted in provision of computer labs and internet access for almost 95% of Honduras’ schools. Since then, they have been starting to implement information systems for developing E-Learning and Student Management Systems solutions. This is the first time in a lifetime that Honduras’ Academic Institutions among with the Ministry of Education are starting to implement tools aimed to enhance the Educational System; aiding the Students’ Learning and, at the same time, to solve and automate some of the manual processes performed in these schools. That is why study is aimed for. Throughout the document, @Prende project will be analyzed, it issues will be explained and then, a proposal based on cloud computing will be given, this trying to improve what is already done through it.
