慈愛國民小學推動服務學習之研究

A Study on the Promotion of Service Learning in Ci'ai Elementary School

摘要


本研究針對慈愛國小推動服務學習情況,包含推動理念、方案規劃方式及運作分析、持續推動原因,以及在推動過程中遭遇困境與因應方式、學生學習情況進行個案研究。研究採取訪談法,訪談校長、行政人員、導師、家長及學生共9人,輔以文件分析法進行資料蒐集,並加以分析與討論,獲致以下結果: 一、全面性方案規劃考量、獲得學校與家長的認同與支持,並結合戶外鄉土教育辦理的策略,是服務學習方案成功的關鍵。 二、推動過程面臨的困境有面臨實作時間難以安排、經費籌措不易、反思力道不足、課程深度受限,以及短時間難以檢核價值觀建立等。慈愛國小透過將服務學習活動排入學期課程計畫,且結合相關議題持續申請補助的方式讓方案順利實施,並運用機會教育、增加反思機會延續活動精神。 三、參加服務學習方案、學生學習到尊重與包容、家長感受學生態度改變、願意主動參與活動,而教師認為學生除了習得更多問題解決能力與如何學習的能力之外,亦觀察到長期引導能促進學生公民意識萌發而讓學生有正向改變。 本論文根據研究結論,提出相關建議,供教育行政機關、慈愛國小、未來欲推動服務學習之國民小學與後續研究之參考。

This thesis, focusing on the learning conditions of promoting service learning in Prefectural Ci’ai Elementary School, conducts case studies, and the covered topics include promoting concepts, project planning methods, operational analyses, motivation for continuing promotion, solutions to the problems in promotion, and students’learning situation. The methodology in this research is interviewing. Nine people, namely the principal, administration staff, homeroom teachers, parents and students are interviewed. The collection of data is processed with documentary analyses. After thorough discussions, the conclusive summaries are as follows. 1. The crucial key to a successful service learning plan includes comprehensive consideration of project planning, commendation as well as support from both schools and parents, and colaboration with the practice of outdoor native education strategies. 2. During the process, afflictions in arranging the schedule for practice, fundraising ordeals, insufficiency in students’introspection, limitation of class depth, and the difficulties of evaluating the development of values within short time are just some of the dilemmas. Ci’ai Elementary School however runs the project smoothly by including the service learning activity into the official teaching plan. Financially, Ci’ai Elementary School is continually granted by coming up with extending issues. Applications of incidental teaching and addition of chances for introspection facilitate to extend and widen the learning spirits. 3. Participating in the service learning project, students have learned mutual respect and mutual tolerance. In addition, parents witness students’ change of attitude and the initiative enthusiasm of getting involved in activities. From teachers’ viewpoint, teachers notice that students acquire problem-solving abilities and know-how abilities. Teachers also notice that long-term instructions can trigger students’ civic awareness, which leads to students’positive change. Based on the above conclusions, this thesis further provides with related suggestions that can serve as references for educational administration authorities, for Prefectural Ci’ai Elementary School, for other elementary schools, and for further researches, which aim to promote service learning.
