MT-RJ型光纖連接器之套管製程最佳化分析

摘要


在光纖通訊中,為了使不同模組、設備和系統之間能靈活連接,必須有一種能在光纖與光纖之間進行精準對接的零件,使訊號能依所需的通道進行傳輸,而能實現這種功能的零件就叫連接器。本文所要探討的重點即是光纖連接器中相當重要的元件—套管。 過去套管的製作上,大部分以轉移成型或以陶瓷粉末射出,使得套管的價格一直居高不下;故若能以射出成型搭配穩定性高的塑料來製作套管,不但可以降低製作的成本,也可以提高光纖網路的普及性。本文針對MT-RJ型光纖連接器之套管(Ferrule)設計一模具,其中包含了三個不同位置的澆口,討論的重點分為兩個部分;第一部分在於成型過程中,光纖插孔附近處易產生包風,故選用適當的成型參數,經由田口方法的應用來改善此包風缺陷;第二部分探討在不同澆口位置及製程條件下,光纖孔位置精度的變化,並藉由田口方法,以模溫、料溫、射速、保壓切換點壓力與保壓壓力等作為因素,再配合不同的水準,來尋求最佳的製程參數組合,使成品品質達到最佳化。此外,利用三維分析軟體MPI來模擬與驗證實際的流動情形,並對套管端面上所產生的翹曲變形現象進行討論。

In fiber communication, the function of connector is to connect different fibers and equipments. Ferrule, the key component that connects two fibers, is the studying point in this paper. In the past, ferrule was expensive because it was made by transfer molding or ceramic injection molding. Therefore, if stable property of material can apply on plastic injection molding, the prime cost of ferrule will be reduced and fiber Network will become popular. This study have two objects, one is the void problem near fiber hole. To solve this problem, by using Taguchi Method and L9 Orthogonal Array can find optimal parameters combinations. The other is precision of fiber hole center. In this part, Taguchi Method and L9 Orthogonal Array are still used, and optimal parameters combinations, which are mold temperature, material temperature, velocity-pressure change and packing pressure could be found. Besides, 3D CAE software MPI will be used on warpage analysis on ferrule interface.
