近年來運用電刺激作為人類醫療,主要是包含減輕疼痛與復健兩大治療領域,前者以TENS、AL-TENS最為廣泛使用,後者是FES最為有名。本論文就各其所需之電刺激參數作一分析探討,並設計一新型電刺激系統,使其符合兩者治療之規格。 由於皮膚表面式電刺激系統,需要較高電流的刺激強度以及高負載阻抗之輸出。因此本論文特別提出新型電流輸出驅動電路,有別於一般CMOS製程無法驅動高電流之缺點(約2mA),本驅動電路特別採用Bipolar電晶體具有高 power、高電流之特性,整合CMOS和Bipoloar電晶體於此輸出驅動電路中,是此電路的一大特色,經由台灣積體電路公司(TSMC) 0.35μm 3P3M BiCMOS製程參數進行模擬,並通過CIC下線製作,其晶片量測之最大電流輸出為10mA,大大提升5倍電流量,此電路經此量測數據驗證確實可行。 而傳統皮膚表面式電刺激系統,利用變壓器作為皮膚阻抗之匹配,不僅具有電流波形爬升速度不足的缺點外,也需要較大的電路板空間已擺放其位置。本論文提出之新型電刺激系統,捨棄傳統的變壓器,改用電荷增壓電路,經由文獻模擬數據,確實可提升輸出負載阻抗,並且可將此電荷增壓電路與電流輸出驅動電路作一整合並積體化,此晶片可與電極片包裝一起,並透過電極片將刺激電流輸入人體皮膚裡的神經、肌肉,此種新型電刺激系統,吾人稱之為電刺激貼片。
Using the electrical stimulation as human medical therapy in recent years is mainly divided into two fields of treatment, which include decreasing the pain and recovering the function of organ. The former extensively uses with TENS and AL-TENS; the latter is that FES is the most famous. This paper will analyze and study parameters of electrical stimulation for both fields. Besides, this paper will propose a new structure of electrical stimulation to meet the specifications of parameters for medical therapy. Due to over skin electrical stimulating system, stimulator needs higher electric current and higher output loading impedance. Hence, this paper proposes a new current driven circuit, which is different from CMOS circuit which is not able to drive high current (above 2mA). It especially adopts high power and high current property of bipolar transistor. CMOS and bipolar transistors are integrated into this circuit to distinguish itself. This circuit is simulated through TSMC 0.35um 3p3m BiCMOS parameters and pass CIC tapeout review meeting. Via chip measured value, it can reach 10mA of output current, which is enhanced 5 times of current quantity. It is verified to functional work by measured data. The conventional over skin electrical stimulating system uses transformer to enhance impedance to match skin impedance. It has not only drawback of low wave form rising time but also larger IC board to place itself. The proposed new electrical stimulating system changes to Charged Pump circuit. Via simulating data of paper, it is verified to enhance loading impedance. We can combine charge pump circuit and new current driven circuit together and make them to a chip. With packaging this chip and electrode together, this a brand new electrical stimulating system is called as electrical stimulating paster
