運用CART建構競合策略決策支援模式-以LED產業為例

摘要


因全球節能減碳的趨勢,環保意識抬頭,發光二極體的節能特性使它受到關注,其有相當多應用的可能性與發展空間,獲取利潤的機會也很多,若是希望在眾多LED廠商中脫穎而出,對自身和其他廠商之技術發展程度及競爭能力有所了解是必須的。 面對與其他廠商合作或競爭的決策時需要考慮很多面向,沒有明確的規則可供廠商判斷及參考,因此本研究之目的為建構一個決策支援模式,提供廠商判斷與其他廠商合作或競爭時之依據,並探討專利指標與廠商選擇合作或是競爭策略之關鍵指標,最後歸納廠商與其他廠商間互動時會選擇合作或是競爭的規則。 研究範圍為LED產業,但LED應用範圍廣泛,相關專利之權利人眾多,因此本研究之對象以2008年至2009年間有合作或是競爭情況的LED廠商,共有46間廠商為樣本,對廠商進行專利檢索並依選取之專利指標進行計算,利用CART演算法分析,歸納出競合的規則,並得出專利被引用數、科學連結與專利數為可以判斷LED廠商選擇合作或是競爭的關鍵指標。

To conserve energy and reduce carbon emissions are the most important trends all over the world now. Thus light emitting diodes(LED) products with energy-saving features receive more attention due to the awareness of environmental protection. Because LED products have many energy-saving applications and can be developed further in many fields, they can make large profits. If an LED factory wants to stand out in this industry, it needs to understand deeply the technology development ability and competitiveness with itself and other companies first. As mentioned above, it is necessary to consider many phases when a factory faces the decision for cooperating or competing with other companies. But there is no explicit rule for those factories to refer to when they need to make decision. So the main purpose of this research is to build a “decision support model” for those factories considering to cooperate or compete with other companies and help them to make an appropriate decision eventually. Also, this research discusses patent indicators and key indicators for factories making a cooperation or competition strategy. Finally, this research concludes a rule for factories to base on when they interact with other companies and make them clear about what they should choose is a cooperation or a competition strategy. This research covers the LED industry. But owing to the immense ranges of LED applications and the numerous obligees of patents, this research targets on the LED factories which have cooperated or competed with other companies during 2008 to 2009, and there are 46 samples in total. This research retrieves the patents of LED factories first and calculates the results according to the selected patent indicators, and then analyzes the results by using Classification and Regression Tree(CART) algorithm to conclude the rules of co-opetition strategy. In the end, the indictors of Cites Per Patent, Science Linkage and Number of Patents can be used to assist in making a good judgment when LED factories need to make a cooperation or competition decision.
