廊香體「線」:柯比意建築中的女性身影

摘要


性別與空間在近年來女性主義的審視與批判中,隨著女權意識高漲,女性研究成為 一門顯學。柯比意與女性角色之間的關聯,總是反覆地出現在他眾多的繪畫作品裡。而 在多次旅行所造訪的城市空間中,柯比意以敏銳的感知與記憶釋放情感,以線形語彙繁 衍出空間樣貌與女性體態,運用視覺對自然世界的解讀,從畫筆建構出當下呈現於眼前 的景象。視覺是一種美學的凝視,透過此種特殊的感官經驗,轉化為詮釋空間的本質涵 義。本研究選定柯比意晚期代表性的建築作品-「廊香教堂」做為觀看主體,從觀察者 的旁觀者位置與視角,指涉空間中的女性輪廓與原型典範。 建築師的草圖所展現(線)之視覺形象與思維,傳遞出空間推演的進程,透過柯比 意不間斷地以女性為主題的繪畫,解析陳述整體構圖的面貌與造型,探究柯比意如何運 用線條表達女性身體,並以此媒介創造出建築概念。本研究主要論述焦點在於柯比意以 女性為主的繪畫文本,探索建築空間與女性畫作的對等初始,並藉著旅行理論與線條圖 像的觀點,以柯比意人生旅程的三個重要階段:「東方之旅」、「北非阿爾及爾之旅」、「南 法馬丁岬之旅」做為主要的分析視點,從繪畫線條、女性形象與廊香教堂的三位一體辯 證,納入水的化身與隱喻詩學之象徵,企圖洞穿柯比意建築中長久以來被忽視與遮蔽的 母體光影,將深植於柯比意思維中的女性意識,在男性制約的空間中從隱匿到現身,回 歸初始的同態結構。

Gender and space to survey and criticize by feminists in recent years, women have been become a significant research with the rising awareness of women’s rights. And the link between Le Corbusier and female features always appeared repeatedly in his many paintings. He visited the city spaces time after time during his itinerary. Le Corbusier intended to release emotions with sensation and recollection, to derive from faces of space and feminine embonpoint by using a linear vocabulary. He applied himself visual interpretation of the natural world from brushes to construct the current landscape in his horizon. Vision is an aesthetic gaze through such an exceptional sensory experience, to transform the essential meaning of space interpretation. The study selected Le Corbusier’s late architectural work of eminence “The Chapel at Ronchamp” as the main subject, to observe from location and perspective of bystanders, refer to feminine silhouette and soul of archetype. Architects’ sketches are revealed visual image and thought, to convey the process of deduced space. Le Corbusier’s uninterrupted drawing through the main theme of women, to analyze statements with overall composition and shape. Diving into how Le Corbusier used the lines to draw feminine bodies and apply the media to create architectural concepts. The main focus is on Le Corbusier’s text of feminine paintings, explored the principle with architectural spaces and paintings of women. Through the viewpoint of travel theory and image lines, intended to Le Corbusier’s three important stages of journey: “Journey to the East”, “Journey to the Algiers of North Africa”, “Journey to the Cap-Martin of South France” as major analytical perspectives. In trinity of lines of paintings, the feminine image and the chapel at Ronchamp, attempted to penetrate Le Corbusier’s architecture has been neglected and obscured maternal bearing with the symbols of embodiment of water and poetic of metaphor in a long period. Le Corbusier would be deeply rooted in the thinking of feminine consciousness in the occultation to come out from masculine space under constraint, returning the same initial isomorphism.
