以電影片段訓練學生聽懂英語對話之研究

An Investigation of the Use of Movie Fragments to Help Students Comprehend English Conversation

摘要


在前人研究中,使用電影當作訓練英語聽力之教材能有效的提升學生的學習興趣以及學習動機,但在學習成就發現,如果依照測驗題目(全民英檢中級聽力測驗)類型分成看圖辨義、問答、了解對話,三種不同題型當中,只有第一大題「看圖辨義」有顯著提升。因此本研究採取類似前人的實驗方法,改善系統,讓學生在進行英文訓練聽力時,以類似「了解對話」的作答方式,在沒有影片畫面的情況下作答,練習從聽到的句子當中抓取自己所認知的單字並推測出此段話的內容。 實驗結果表示經過十二週的英文聽力訓練後,學生的學習成就在「看圖辨義」以及「了解對話」兩種題型皆有顯著的進步。

A previous research demonstrated that use of movie fragments for training in English listening comprehension can significantly help students to improve learner motivation and learner interest. However, in learning achievement, it is found that only “Part A” have significant improvement. The purpose of this research was to help students comprehend English conversation. This research adopts an experimental method similar to the predecessors. Students have to answer with only video sound when they are doing English listening training, and practice to grasp the words they know from the sentences they hear, and guess the content of this paragraph. The results of the experiment show that after 12 weeks of English listening training, students’ learning achievements have made significant progress in both the “Watch picture and analyzing meaning” and " Understand the conversation ".
