Optical display industry in Taiwan has been one of the industries of globalization. In order to enhance competitive advantage and perpetual operation, supplier selection and long-term collaboration became an important issue in this field. Proposed in this study is to design a survey of supplier assessment by means of interviewing professional managers in optical display industries and literature review. The result is that six dimensions of supplier assessment were identified based on a factor analysis. They were “expectations and requirements of supplier”, “monitoring and management green products of supplier”, “quality and problem solving”, “purchasing cost and its strategy”, “delivery management”, and “technical communication and service”. After comparison of enterprise characteristics, it not only provides evidence that supplier assessment, but also assists decision makers in applying the approaches effectively to have the perpetual operation of enterprise.
