桃園縣國民小學家長教育選擇權與學校特色關係之研究

A Study on the Relationship between Parents' School Choice and School Characteristics of Elementary Schools in Taoyuan County

摘要


摘 要 本研究旨在探究桃園縣國民小學階段家長,對於教育選擇權及對於學校特色的知覺情形,並進一步探討不同背景變項之桃園縣國民小學階段家長,在選擇學校的因素中,與學校發展的特色項目有無顯著相關,進而依據研究結果,提供教育主管單位、桃園縣發展學校特色的國民小學及後續相關研究參考。 本研究欲探討「桃園縣國民小學家長教育選擇權與學校特色之關係」,採問卷調查法進行,並依據文獻探討和研究目的,參考相關理論與研究,編製「桃園縣國民小學家長教育選擇權與學校特色關係之調查問卷」,以蒐集有關桃園縣國民小學家長教育選擇權與學校特色之關係的相關資訊,進而綜合文獻探討與問卷資料之分析結果,提出結論與建議。 本研究是以桃園縣96年至100年12月之間,獲得一項以上特色認證的公立國民小學家長為研究對象,其範圍包括父母或法定監護人。 本研究經整理歸納、統計分析獲得以下幾項重要結論: 一、桃園縣公立國民小學家長對教育選擇權的知覺情形為中上偏高的程度,尤其在專業師資取向因素上的知覺程度最高,其次是課程教學取向與教育理念取向,而對於公共關係取向因素的知覺情形相對較低。 二、桃園縣公立國民小學家長對學校特色的知覺情形為中上的程度,對於「學校特色發展成果評估」的知覺情形較高,而對於「學校特色發展策略」的知覺情形相對較低。 三、男性家長對於家長教育選擇權與學校特色的知覺程度高於女性家長。 四、教育程度較低的家長對於家長教育選擇權與學校特色的知覺程度高於教育程度高的家長。 五、不同職業類別家長對家長教育選擇權與學校特色的知覺程度無顯著差異。 六、子女就讀學校地區在「偏遠學校」的家長,對家長教育選擇權與學校特色的知覺程度顯著高於子女就讀學校地區在「市區」與「一般鄉鎮」的家長。 七、子女就讀學校規模為「12班以下」的家長,對家長教育選擇權與學校特色的知覺程度顯著高於子女就讀其他規模學校的家長。 八、選擇讓子女於學區內就讀的家長,對家長教育選擇權與學校特色的知覺程度高於越區就讀的家長。 九、家長教育選擇權與學校特色發展具有高度的正相關。 十、家長教育選擇權對於學校特色發展具有預測作用,其中課程教學取向為最主要的預測變項。

Abstract The goal of this research is to investigate the perception of parents on the parents’ school choice and school characteristics at elementary school at Taoyuan County in Taiwan. Further, this study investigates the significant relations among different background of parents on parents’ school choice and school Characteristics. This research results can be referred to develop school characteristics of elementary schools for the education authorities and Taoyuan County Government. In order to investigate the relation between parents’ school choice and school characteristics at elementary schools in Taoyuan County, the questionnaire approach is adopted. The questionnaire is based on the literature review and research purposes and refer to the relevant theory and research in order to collect information about the relation between parents’ school choice and school characteristics at elementary school stage in Taoyuan County. The object of this research is based on the parents of public elementary schools which already got one or more than one characteristic authentication between 2007 and 2011 in Taoyuan County. Base on the summarization and statistical for this research, the following important conclusions are: 1. The perception of parents for the parents’ school choice is upper degree, especially in the professional teacher orientation factors is the highest level of consciousness, followed by the orientation of teaching and educational philosophy orientation, and for public relations orientation factors. The perception of the case is relatively low for public elementary schools in Taoyuan County. 2. The higher perception of parents for the school characteristics, the higher perceived situation for school characteristics development outcomes assessment, and school characteristics development strategy' perception is relatively low for public elementary schools in Taoyuan County. 3. The level of consciousness of the father-parents is higher than mother-parents in the parents’ school choice and school characteristics. 4. The parents with lower educational background are higher than the parents with higher educational background on the parents’ school choice and school characteristics. 5. There is no significant difference between the parents with different occupational categories in the level of consciousness on parents’ school choice and school characteristics. 6. The level of perception for the parents of the school in outlying villages is significantly higher than the parents of the school in city area and general area on the parents’ school choice and school characteristics. 7. The level of perception for the parents in the small scale school is higher than the parents in other scale schools on the parents’ school choice and school characteristics. 8. The level of perception for the parents who choose to let their children attending the school in the same district is higher than the parents who choose to let their children attending the school across different district on the parents’ school choice and school characteristics. 9. The parents’ school choice and the development of school characteristics exists high positive correlation. 10. The parents’ school choice can predict the development of school characteristics and the major variable is the orientation of course instruction
