腈基轉化為四唑官能基之聚丙烯腈纖維的製備及特性評估

摘要


摘 要 本篇論文主要探討聚丙烯腈纖維改質,在保持纖維原有之外觀下,進行纖維的後處理加工。此種纖維表面處理加工方式,可避免直接利用高分子共聚改質的方式所造成紡絲工程上無法紡絲及斷絲….等等的紡絲問題及均聚的聚丙烯腈纖維染色性較差的缺點。 藉由對聚丙烯腈的腈基進行﹝3+2﹞環化法反應轉化成四唑(tetrazole) 官能基,將聚丙烯腈纖維腈基轉化為含四唑官能基之聚丙烯腈纖維。 本研究是利用氯化銨 (NH4Cl) 當催化劑,將聚丙烯腈纖維置於二甲基亞砜/甲醇 (DMF/MeOH) 共溶劑中或單一甲醇 (MeOH) 溶劑中,藉由對聚丙烯腈的腈基與疊氮化鈉進行四唑環化 (tetrazole cyclization) 反應,將聚丙烯腈纖維腈基轉化為含四唑官能基之聚丙烯腈纖維。此外,藉由接枝率測定、IR光譜、UV-VIS光譜等儀器分析確認聚丙烯腈纖維表面進行四唑環化反應之接枝率與改質後特性。 在纖維物化性的分析上,本實驗利用接枝率測定、IR光譜、UV-VIS光譜、TGA圖譜、體電阻值測定,吸水率測定,纖維強伸度測定來探討其改質後纖維的接枝率、染色性、熱安定性、抗靜電性、吸水性、纖維強度等特性。 利用本篇論文所得改質後的聚丙烯腈纖維,其染色上色率由原纖維之3.6%提昇至98.3%。其吸水率由原纖維之8.7%提昇至13.2%, 所以本研究對纖維的染色上色率及吸水率兩大功能性有明顯提昇。

Abstract The study of polyacrylonitrile(PAN) fiber’s modification, by taking advantage of the tetrazole chemistry , is described in this paper. The newly developed modification preserves not only the integrity of fiber’s appearance, but also the physical durability of fiber’s spinning process. The dye ability and moisture absorption capability of regular PAN fiber are not good,Polyacrylonitrile(PAN) fiber’s modification can improve these properties. Formation of tetrazole can be achieved base on the nitrile/azide (3+2)-cyclization reaction. Thus, treatment of PAN’s nitrile moiety with NaN3 in the presence of catalytic amounts of NH4Cl in either DMF/MeOH or MeOH at reflux temperature gives product in good yield. Measurement of grafting efficiency, IR, UV-VIS, TGA, and electric resistance are used to determine the resultant product’s properties of dye ability, moisture absorption capability, anti-static capability, thermal stability, and fiber’s spin ability. The modified PAN fiber made from this work showed the dye up-take increase from 3.6% to 98.3% , the moisture absorption capability increase from 8.7% to 13.2%.
