具雙面微結構設計之導光板 光學性質之研究

摘要


中文摘要 液晶顯示器中,背光模組為主要光源所在,是控制輝度與均勻度高低的重點核心,必須藉由導光板上微結構的設計來達到導光的目的。導光板之主要技術包含了微結構基礎設計與成型能力,如能藉由電腦模擬分析預先設計並找出導光板最佳設計準則,將能有效的節省時間與成本,並且可以提升產品品質與產業競爭力。 本研究主要是經由光學軟體的模擬來設計最佳化導光板微結構的形式,並且以實際開模射出之實驗來與分析相互做驗證。針對64 X 45 X 1(mm)尺寸大小之導光板,設計分析各種微結構之光學特性,經由軟體模擬出最佳設計形式後進行模仁的製作,並實際射出導光板試片進行光學輝度與均勻度的量測。最後分析結果與實驗結果做比對驗證。 研究結果顯示,相較於單面微結構導光板,雙面微結構導光板可以有效提高輝度。與單面導光板比較,相同的反射面加上V形溝槽結構平均可增加50%的輝度;加上金字塔錐狀微結構平均可提高100%的輝度。於雙面微結構出光面的比較中可以發現,金字塔錐形微結構之輝度表現比V形溝槽微結構理想,而微結構溝槽與溝槽間距愈小,光線接觸微結構的機率就會愈高,可以有效提升導光功能的趨勢,因此藉由溝槽與溝槽間距的改變,可以得到均勻的發光表面。在模擬趨勢與實驗比較中,在近光源處之誤差平均為8.36%,離光源愈遠其誤差平均為48.66%。本研究中,充分顯示了不同微結構設計對於導光板之發光趨勢的差異,可作為相關研究人員或相關產業設計時之參考。

Abstract In the liquid-crystal display, the light-guide plate (LGP) is a very important component in backlight module and controls the brightness and the uniformity. Micro-feature technology is applied to the integrated LGP in this research. CAE is a feasible way to use in the design, and the criterions for optical design of LGP can be investigated based on CAE results. With the aid of CAE, the design is more time and money saving, and the products quality can also be improved. The optical simulation software TarcePro was used in the design of the LGP to optimize the micro-feature, and the results were verified by the experiments. A PMMA-made light-guide plate with dimensions of 64mm × 45mm × 1mm was investigated in this research. The optics characteristics of various microstructure design in LGP were analyzed, and the optimum design was obtained based on simulation results. The mold cavity of optimum design was made, and parts were molded to measure the luminance and uniformity. Finally, the simulation results were verified by the experiment results. Investigation of the optical performance of LGP with micro-feature characteristics shows that LGP with micro-feature on double sides has higher luminance than one-side plate. Comparing with one-side LGP, one-side LGP combining with V-grooves can improve 50% of the brightness, and its combining with pyramids can improve 100% of the luminance. In double-side micro-feature design, the micro pyramids characteristics can get better luminance than micro prisms characteristics. The simulation results also reveal that the micro-feature with smaller interval of V-grooves on light guide plate will possess better luminance. In this study, the difference between simulations and experiments is about 8.36% near the light source and about 48.66% far away from the light source. The research results also indicate that different micro-feature design can achieve different luminance. The investigation provides a guideline of micro-feature design in LGP to researcher and designer.
