With the Covid-19 quickly spread around the world, countries implemented the border control so that the global supply chain has been affected. For example, because of the container detention, the product can’t be delivered to the customer as scheduled, the global economic took a hit. However, the output value of Taiwan's semiconductor industry increased in 2020, also the semiconductors are a pivotal industry in Taiwan. In fact, this study includes the Taiwan’s semiconductor industry in 2020 as the research object. After the outbreak of the epidemic, the disruption risk let enterprises take more importance on sustainable supply chain management. Some studies have also pointed out that the higher of implementation on sustainable supply chain management, the lower the disruption risk. Therefore, this study intends to explore under the pandemic, whether the higher of sustainable supply chain management performance in Taiwan's semiconductor industry, it will reduce the operational risk. Using Data Envelopment Analysis, we measured the sustainable supply chain management performance with 45 indicators, including economy, environment and society, and operational performance of 52 semiconductor companies in 2020. To better understand that the sustainable supply chain management performance will affect operational performance, we used a matrix diagram to present. Our research shows that in the midstream companies had higher sustainable supply chain management performance and corporate operational performance than both the upstream and downstream companies of the semiconductor industry.
