對於目前的TFT LCD 的關鍵零組件偏光片而言,最重要的目標之ㄧ是提高偏光片的生產良率,以降低生產成本並增加公司獲利。更必須生產出的偏光片更能符合面板廠所能使用。為了進一步提升顯示器的可視區範圍,其各面板廠開始導入超窄邊框技術的顯示器產品之趨勢,因此,一線面板大廠皆轉攻高附加價值電視產品,其中窄邊框(Narrow Bezel)設計可提升電視產品外觀。窄邊框的面板設計,其中偏光片材料於Cell 貼附時的良率影響是必須考慮進去,因此偏光片的產品特性的改善方向是必須符合此窄邊框趨勢要求。其中偏光片的翹曲程度更是影響Cell貼附偏光片製程良率的重要因子。 本論文提出『應用實驗設計於偏光片翹曲改善之研究』的方法來解決這個問題。利用實驗設計方法由研究者設定影響條件後,進行實驗觀察結果是否受該條件影響,在一個或連串的試驗中刻意地改變製程輸入參數值,以便觀察並找出影響製程輸出變數之因素。 本研究針對偏光片製程中,會影響偏光板翹曲因子進行實驗,主要影響因子包括溫度與張力,實驗結果顯示,本論文所提出的『應用實驗設計於偏光片翹曲改善之研究』可以有效找出最佳參數控制的條件。
