LCD液晶面板熱變形模擬研究

摘要


隨著TFT-LCD 液晶面板應用的普及,其應用不再只是侷限於桌上 型電腦配件或是家用電視螢幕,而更廣泛的應用到車用監視器,航空用 儀表等設備。 而應用於交通運輸工具之液晶面板,由於其環境的特殊性。因此其 所需考慮的環境條件也愈趨嚴苛,像是車用顯示器於汽車行駛時置放於 車內之高溫環境下,液晶面板的特性亦將面臨極大的考驗。因此,在此 環境下,LCD 液晶面板將遭受一定的變形,會使得內部液晶分佈不均 勻,而影響顯示品質,液晶面板處於高溫下之型態變形,是否亦會影響 顯示品質之考量顯得越趨重要。 本研究採用以有限元素分析,搭配ANSYS 電腦模擬的方式,模擬 液晶面板承受之熱應力,探討其應用於運輸工具時之可靠度分析。透過 這些分析我們了解到溫度對液晶面板的影響,同時也針對液晶面板進行 機構之強化設計以及材料之改善建議,改善液晶面板因為承受熱應力而 產生之變形。

TFT-LCD has become popular in modern life. TFT-LCD is widely used in different apparatuses such as desktop computers, television displays, vehicle surveillances as well as aircraft dashboards. However, when it comes to the applications of TFT-LCD to transportations, the circumstantial factor should be taken into serious consideration. For instance, the consistent high heat of a running vehicle will put TFT-LCD under great test. Therefore, this study argues that under such circumstance of high heat, LCD is likely to become deformed. That is, the uneven flow of interior crystal liquid will affect the quality of TFT-LCD. Hence, this study is concerned with the co-relation between the deformed TFT-LCD resulted from high heat and the quality of the product itself. This study employs Finite Element Method along with the ANSYS to go about the analysis. ANSYS, a PC-based application, is utilized to create an environment where TFT-LCD is sustained certain level of heat. The analysis aims at exploring the applicability of TFT-LCD to transportations. The findings show that heat poses a great influence on the applicability of TFT-LCD to transportations. In the meantime, this study offers recommendations in terms of the design and materials of TFT-LCD for future study as well as practical use.
