工具機為製造業之母,舉凡電子、航太、醫療與機械等產業無不需仰賴工具機 的精密加工才得以蓬勃發展,因此其重要性可謂攸關國家的經濟命脈。而眾多工具 機當中,以技術層面的困難性及複雜性與使用的廣泛性而論,非「綜合加工機」莫 屬。對於使用綜合加工機從事製造加工之業者而言,重視的不僅是機台本身的效能, 刀柄與切削刀具的應用更是影響加工效率與精度的關鍵因子,然而切削刀具的種 類繁多,以相同的加工條件而言,可能有許多種刀具組合的選擇。加工使用者往往 為了生產符合設計圖的工件及基於成本與效率的考量,而面臨選擇最適宜刀具的 問題,目前僅能憑經驗判斷,於眾多的刀具型錄資料中尋找符合加工條件且最佳的 刀具組合,其耗費的時間相當長,也增加工時的浪費。 為了達到即時找出最佳刀具組合的目的,本研究將「刀柄」及「刀具」此二項 切削加工之重要的因素,利用數據化及科學化整合成參數方式的資訊系統,期能提 供製造加工業者方便快速及最正確選擇的應用模式,解決其以往「知其然,不知其 所以然」所衍生的種種加工問題。除了提供協助之外,更能將所累積的技術 Know- How 回饋研發設計前端,實現於工件開發過程中的設計改善與機台性能之提升, 更進一步提升加工精度及生產效率,使機械的性能發揮到極致。
