臺灣基督長老教會倍加運動研究

教會倍加運動是臺灣基督長老教會於1954年至1965年推行的傳教運動，總共歷經南部大會、總會兩個時期，對於長老教會的教勢發展及關懷鄉土的決策有深遠的影響。本論文以史學的檔案分析作為研究方法，使用長老教會的會議記錄、教會公報及教會紀念冊為主要資料，輔以二手文獻，探討倍加運動的過程及前因後果。由本文的研究得知：（一）長老教會推行倍加運動，不單只是為了將運動成果做為在宣教百週年時獻給上帝的禮物，而是有時代背景的因素促使倍加運動得以成形。（二）由於南四中會的整體信徒數在總會時期呈現減少狀態，使倍加運動在信徒數的增長方面並沒有達到倍加的目標。（三）總會在倍加運動所扮演的角色不僅是傳道計畫的決策者，同時也是計畫的執行者，委派其所屬單位在城、鄉地區協助倍加運動的進行。（四）長老教會在推行倍加運動的過程中，透過傳道事工深入地認識與關心臺灣社會，使其在倍加運動結束以後，發展出對鄉土的認同與關懷。整體而言，倍加運動在信徒數方面雖然沒有達到倍加的目標，但它幫助長老教會的教會數與信徒數大量提升，並在傳教的信仰價值上，另外開闢一條新的道路，這是值得肯定的。

The Church Doubling Movement was the missionary movement which Taiwan Presbyterian Church carries out from 1954 to 1965. It was divided into the General Assembly of Taiwan Presbyterian Church and the Southern Synod of Taiwan Presbyterian Church. Taiwan Presbyterian Church for its development and care of indigenization had deep and far effects. The thesis took the research technique by the historical analysis. Its main material is council books of Taiwan Presbyterian Church, the Taiwan Church Newspaper and the albums of the churches. And it took auxiliary by the second-hand materials. It discussed the process and the cause and effect of the Church Doubling Movement.Knew by this thesis research: （1）Taiwan Presbyterian Church carried out the Church Doubling Movement, was not merely only to do the movement achievement for God's gift in the Taiwan missionary Centenary time, but sometimes the generation of background's factor urged the Church Doubling Movement. （2）Because the follower counts of the four presbyteries of the Southern Taiwan Presbyterian Church in the period of the General Assembly of Taiwan Presbyterian Church presented the reduced condition, it enabled the growth aspect which the follower of the Church Doubling Movement counts not to achieve the doubly goal. （3）The General Assembly of Taiwan Presbyterian Church was not only does policy-maker of the missionary plan in the role of the Church Doubling Movement,simultaneously was also the plan performer, dispatched its subordinate units to assist the advance oft he Church Doubling Movement in city and countryside. （4）When Taiwan Presbyterian Church carried out the Church Doubling Movement, it knew and cared about Taiwan society thoroughly by missionary work. After the Church Doubling Movement was concluded, Taiwan Presbyterian Church developed to the approval and the concern of indigenization. The whole, although the follower counts of the Church Doubling Movement had not achieved the goal doubly, it helped the church numbers and the follower counts to increase massively. Moreover, the Church Doubling Movement paved a new way in the belief value of the missionary works. This is a positive move.
