以流行歌曲輔助華語聽力與口說研究

摘要


學習華語已成為全球趨勢,但華語也被公認為是困難學習的語言之一,尤其對多數初學者而言,華語除了聲調變化繁多之外,句子中詞與詞之間更是難以辨別,學習者無法輕易用聽力辨別華語內容,導致學習困難。 隨著多媒體技術的進步,電腦輔助語言學習的例子不勝枚舉。多媒體 (視覺、聽覺) 教材能幫助大腦學習多元的資訊,是以現今有不少華語教師於教學時採用華語歌曲的多媒體教材,除了能讓華語學習者在較輕鬆的狀況下進行語言習得之外,也能透過許多歌曲的特性來學習華語。 本論文的研究目的在於探討華語流行歌曲對於華語聽力與口說能力教學的成效。首先分析歌曲有利於華語教學及有助於聽力與口說學習的特點,再嘗試運用新的HTML5網頁多媒體技術研發一套有助於華語聽力與口說能力的學習系統。針對“斷詞的概念”與“演唱與正常口語時聲調變化的差異”,系統提供相關的功能來輔助學習,希望藉此評估華語歌曲用於聽力與口語能力學習的成效。 實驗結果顯示系統對於華語聽力與口語學習是有幫助的,特別是聽力學習方面,而系統的輔助功能也能幫助學習者學習中文斷詞的概念與歌詞於正常口語時的發音,對華語聽力與口說學習有正面成效。

Learning Chinese has become a global trend. But Chinese is difficult to learn especially for Westerners. Because of the varying tones and the difficulty to recognize phrases, learners can’t easily understand Chinese. With advent of multimedia, more and more computer systems have been designed to assist language learning. The point is that using multimedia (e.g. visuals and sound) to inspire the brain in multiple senses seems helpful. And learning a language through pop songs might be effective as it can lower the affective filter of the learners and the songs contain features useful for language learning. The purpose of this study is to investigate how to use Chinese pop songs to learn Chinese listening and speaking effectively. We first analyze which features of pop songs are useful for learning a language, and then design learning tools for them with HTML5. “Helping learn Chinese word segmentation” and “Presenting the discrepancy in the tonal patterns of singing and speaking” are our topics. Certain functions are especially designed for them. And we hope they can be used to evaluate the efficacy of using songs to learn Chinese listening and speaking. The experiment shows that our system is useful for learning Chinese listening and speaking, especially in listening. And our functions can help learners to know and learn the concept of Chinese word segmentation and pronunciation in oral speaking, achieving the positive effect of using Chinese pop songs to learn Chinese listening and speaking.
