少子化影響了台灣幼教市場的需求,造成許多幼教老師供過於求;印尼民主化後開放了境內華語教學,許多國際學校相繼成立並招聘包括台灣的幼教老師前去印尼任教,這些國際學校包括台灣政府補助的泗水台灣學校、印尼慈濟團體建立的雅加達慈濟學校,和新加坡連鎖教育機構的泗水美禮恩學校。本研究取樣這三間學校服務的十三位台灣幼教老師,透過訪談,了解她們前往印尼任教的動機、過程與跨文化適應情形。研究結果顯示:一、不同年齡、教學經歷長短以及婚姻狀況的台灣幼師,對於在印尼的生活的心理和社會適應,都能尋求各種內外資源,自我調適,對於印尼的歸屬感具有正面影響。二、在印尼工作的台灣幼師會積極參加研習、進修, 精進自己教授華語文專業,協助學校招生與推廣華語文。三、印尼工作的台灣幼師,能同理印尼風俗民情、順遂同事間的工作氛圍、以及獲得家長支持。
Lower birth rate has affected the demand of early childhood education and led to the imbalance between supply and demand of teachers in Taiwan. Meanwhile, In Indonesia, learning Chinese was accepted after the democra-tization, and many international schools were established. Therefore, some teachers turn to seeking overseas job opportunities. This study aimed to explore the motivations, processes and cross-cultural adaptation of those who went to Indonesia to be preschool teachers from Taiwan. The research showed that all the interviewees have a positive sense of belonging in Indonesia. The Taiwanese preschool teachers working in Indonesia will actively participate in further training to improve their teaching professional abilities and assist the school to promote Chinese lan-guage learning. Furthermore, they understand and accept the culture and customs in Indonesia, have good relationships with colleagues and get the positive support from students parents.
