新加坡移民華人父母陪伴子女學習歷程之研究

摘要


本研究旨在探討新加坡移民家長對子女教育期望、教養行為在移民後子女的學習及家長教育二方面困境與因應策略,邀請4位家長移民自台灣或中國,至少一位就讀小學以上的非新加坡出生的子女,採半結構的個別訪談,收集有關「移民原因與考慮時機」、「家長對子女教育期望及教養行為」、「移民後教育困境與因應策略」及「移民的決定矛盾與困惑歷程」,以供未來移民家庭之參考。 本研究發現,移民家長移民移民時機有「子女在學校學習遇瓶頸」、「子女將屆臨就讀小學階段」二個關鍵時點。移民後所面臨的困境有「子女學生活方面」及「家長的教育困境」二個部分。子女學習面臨「語言學習問題」、「學校適應問題」、「人際交往困難」三個困境;家長對子女教育有「親子溝通的無力與自責」、「教養角色期待落空」、「子女學業壓力與矛盾」及「移民生活習慣的改變」四個困境。 教育困境的因應策略,「透過補教加強語文能文」、「調整成就標準」、「尋求資源與再選擇」、「再進修,再學習」、「參加宗教團體」、「生活重新規範」及「教導子女做家事共同分擔家務」七個策略。回顧移民經驗則「滿意選擇新加坡受教育」、「全家移民對維繫家庭成員情感深具意義」及「階段性移民適應佳」三個部份。 關鍵字:移民動機、教育期望、教養行為

The following is a thesis on the Singapore immigrant parents expectation for their children's education, parenting behavior in immigrant children after learning and parent education two aspects of problems and coping strategies of parents, invited 4 immigrants from Taiwan or China, primary one and Non-Singapore Birth in their family, using semistructured individual interviews, collect information about "immigration causes and considering the time", "parents' expectation for their children's education and parenting behavior", "citizenship education problems and coping strategies" and "the decision to emigrate contradiction and perplexity in the process", for future reference of immigrant families. The study found that, the migration time of immigrant parents have children in school children will encounter bottleneck, session of the provisional enrolled in primary school stage two key points. Migration after the dilemma faced by children live and parent education predicament in two parts. Children learn to face about language learning, school adaptation, interpersonal difficulties three dilemma; parents of children education parent-child communication and an inability to blame, parenting role expectation failed, children's academic pressure and contradiction and move the living habits change four difficulties. Education predicament coping strategy, through the supplementary education to strengthen Chinese writing, adjust the standards of achievement, seeking for resources and then select, learning, then learning, participate in religious groups, life and to teach their children for sharing the housework seven strategy. Review of immigrant experience satisfaction with choice of Singapore Education", family immigrated to sustain the family emotion deep meaning and stage adaptation of migrants.
