中國多國籍企業海外直接投資之因素—以資源基礎理論和制度理論面分析

摘要

本研究探討中國多國籍企業海外直接投資的因素，研究架構分為兩個層面，第一個層面為公司層面因素，以資源基礎觀點面來分析，檢驗中國多國際企業是否因為擁有獨特優勢，使得他們去海外直接投資；第二個層面為國家層面因素，以制度理論面來分析，國家層級面又分為省份層面和政府層面，省份層面是探討是否母公司所在中國省份的開放程度會影響中國多國籍企業進行海外直接投資；而政府層面將中國多國籍企業分為中央型國有企業、非中央型國有企業、一般民營企業，檢驗中國多國籍企業的公司型態是否為影響中國多國籍企業進行海外直接投資的因素。本研究採用以1991至20105中國公司為研究對象，使用Eviews統計軟體作對研究假說進行實證分析。研究實證發現中國多國籍企業擁有營運成本低的優勢，會促使他們進行海外直接投資。而母公司註冊於高開放程度的省分，也會使中國多國籍企業有能力去進行海外直接投資，且大多數去海外直接投資的中國多國籍企業為國有企業。

This research discusses the factors of Chinese multinational corporations foreign direct investment. The research framework of this research is divided into two levels. The First level is firm level. This level use resource-based view to analyze whether Chinese multinational corporations have their ownership advantage driven them to foreign direct investment. The second level is national level. This level use institutional theory to analyze the Chinese multinational corporations. And the national level is divided into two parts, provinces and government. In provinces level, we want to test whether the degree of openness of the Chinese provinces where the Chinese multinational enterprises parent company at will affect their foreign direct investment. Furthermore, we distinguish the type of Chinese multinational corporations into three types, which are central state-owned corporations, non-central state-owned corporations and private corporations. In government level, we want to test whether the type of Chinese multinational corporations will affect their foreign direct investment. This study mainly uses Chinese companies from 1991 to 2010 in TEJ Chinese database to investigate our hypotheses. In research approach we apply E-views Statistical Software to carry on the analysis. In the research result we found that the Chinese multinational corporations do have the advantage of low operating costs, will encourage them to foreign direct investment. Parent company is located at the province with high degree of openness, also make Chinese multinational companies have the ability to foreign direct investment. And Chinese state-owned enterprises have been the main role of foreign direct investment among all Chinese multinational corporations.
