This study aims to investigate the influence of maternal nation on children’s education performance. Using three years survey data of the " Taiwan Assessment of Student Achievement" in 2012 sixth grade, 2013 eighth grade, and 2014 eleventh grade. I measure children's educational performance by mathematics achievement, mainly because mathematic achievement has been considered to have a positive relationship with future human capital. The main independent variable is the indicator for nationality of parents, which are divided into "Taiwan", "China", "Southeast Asia", and "Other Nationalities", with Taiwan as the basement group. I employ the Ordinary Least Square(OLS) method with interactive terms, and find that the mother's nationality has an impact on the children's mathematics performance. Mothers from China do not have significant difference in children's performance, relative to Taiwanese mothers. However, mothers from Southeast Asian have significantly negative impact on children's performance. Due to the data limitation, this analysis still suffer from OVB problems which is caused by absence of background factors variables.
