台灣男性婚姻溢酬-分量迴歸擬真分析

摘要


男性因婚姻而取得優於婚前較高的工資率,稱之男性婚姻溢酬(married premium);雖然文獻普遍支持婚姻溢酬,但研究方法仍以最小平方估計居多。本研究選取2005年行政院主計處人力運用調查資料以分量迴歸 (quantile regression) 搭配自體重複抽取方法估計工資函數,並以 Machado and Mata (2005) 擬真方法分析特性、報酬率與單一特性對於工資分配效果。文中發現己婚男性工資不均度主要歸因於經驗、年資、主管人員、公部門等特性影響。

The male marriage premium means that married men earn higher wages than that of single ones. Although documents stand for marriage premium, most research methods use least square for calculation. This research concerns with Manpower Utilization Survey in 2005, from Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics, which takes the methodology of quantile regression for estimating the wage rate function by selecting bootstrapping samples. Furthermore, Machado and Mata (2005) counterfactual decomposition was also used to analyze covariates, coefficients, and single characteristics affecting wage rate distribution. The finding of this study shows that the wage inequality of married male is mainly attributed to experience, seniority, managers, and the public sectors.
