This study focused on a case enterprise that bases its operations on the vision of “building others’ houses (buildings) as our own.” Through down-to-earth operations this enterprise has won customer trust in and recognition of this vision and thus achieved excellent business performance. During the process of operations, building information modeling was introduced and Tekla was used to plot three-dimensional architectural steel structure drawings to improve the precision and speed of on-site constructions. Moreover, the enterprise used requests for information to communicate with involved parties including the engineers, structural technicians, and owners, thereby strengthening the safety of construction projects. The introduction of the Tekla software also benefited cost control. The overall material quantities can be precisely controlled through spreadsheets to mitigate the impact of unstable raw material supply caused by rising raw material prices, including steel, on the enterprise’s operations.
