本研究旨在探討諮商員的個人傳統性/現代性與多元文化諮商能力的關係。 本研究依據理論與文獻建立研究變項與架構,以全台諮商員為研究對象進行問卷調查,採滾雪球取樣方式實得有效樣本192 位。所使用的研究工具包含「個人傳統性量表」、「個人現代性量表」及「多元文化諮商能力量表」。所得資料以描述性統計、獨立樣本t 考驗、單因子變異數分析、Pearson 積差相關、逐步多元迴歸分析等統計方法,進行各項考驗分析。 本研究結果發現:(1)目前諮商員具有中度偏低的「整體個人傳統性」,中度偏高的「整體個人現代性」與「整體多元文化諮商能力」;(2)個人現代性與個人傳統性、多元文化諮商能力有顯著正相關;(3)碩士學歷的諮商員擁有較高的多元文化諮商能力之「態度」,同時也較能預測多元文化諮商能力之「態度」層面;(4)兼任諮商員擁有較高的多元文化諮商能力之「知能」,同時也較能預測多元文化諮商能力之「知能」層面;(5)個人現代性之「獨立自主」與「內控取向」最能預測多元文化諮商能力。 最後,本研究根據研究結果進行討論,並進一步提出建議,以供諮商員、訓練單位與後續研究作為參考。
The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship among individual tradition, individual modernity and multicultural counseling competency of counselors. There are one hundred and ninety-two counselors participated in this survey. Individual Traditional Scale, Individual Modernity Scale, and Multicultural Counseling Competency Scale were used in this survey. Descriptive statistics, t-test of independent samples, one-way analysis of variance, product-moment correlation of Pearson and stepwise regression were used to analysis the data. The results of the study were as follows: 1. The counselors are moderated to low in “individual tradition” ; moderated to high in “individual modernity” and “multicultural counseling competency”. 2. Not only Individual tradition and individual modernity are positive correlation, but also Individual modernity and multicultural counseling competency are positive correlation. 3. The counselors of master degree not only have higher “attitude of multicultural counseling”, but also more stronger to predict “attitude of multicultural counseling”. 4. The part-time counselors not only have higher “knowledge of multicultural counseling”, but also more stronger to predict “knowledge of multicultural counseling”. 5. “Independence” and “Internal control orientation” are more stronger to predict multicultural counseling competency. Finally, according to these findings, some suggestions for counselors, counseling training sites, and future researches were proposed.
