網路編碼通訊之系統容量與能量效率性能分析

Performance Analysis of System Capacity and Energy Efficiency for Network-coding Communications

摘要


在網路普及的現代,如何讓訊息傳遞更快速是一個令人關注的議題。網路編碼技術的出現能夠有效的利用較少的時間,達到較多的訊息傳送。然而,網路編碼有雙方都必須有訊息才能使用的限制存在。所以若只有單方面有訊息要傳送,我們就無法使用該技術。在單方面有訊息要傳送的情況下,如果我們選擇等待,可能另一方在下一個時刻就有訊息要傳送,這樣子就能符合網路編碼的條件。相對的,如果等待太久反而會造成能量的浪費,也延遲到訊息傳送的時間。 因此,是否需要等待就成為一個有趣的問題。透過系統容量和能量效率的分析,可以知道等待的效果。

In the modern of networks that are widely popular, it is concerned issue that how let messages transmit faster. The appearance of network-coding technique can use less time to achieve more transmitted messages usefully. However, it exists the limit in network-coding is both of each other must have messages to transmit. Therefore, if only single one has messages to transmit, we cannot use the technique. In the situation of single one has messages to transmit, if we chose to wait, maybe there has message to transmit from other side. It matches the condition of network-coding. Relatively, if we wait too long, it not only makes waste of energy, but also delays the time of transmission. Therefore, whether it is needed to wait or not is been an interesting problem. Through the analysis of system capacity and energy efficiency, we can understand the effect of waiting.
