觀光科系畢業生生涯故事之探討

A Study of Career Story on Tourism Graduates

摘要


有鑑於學校能透過另類考量之縱貫面調查,能夠超越與補足過往通常至多只有涵蓋畢業學生學習滿意度、生涯自我效能、職涯需求、動機、實習體驗,職涯滿意度等變項與職涯發展相關之橫切面研究的不足。本研究因此用敘事故事觀點進行10 位1997年靜宜觀光系畢業生較能符合大學畢業生職涯歷程的個案調查。研究涵蓋之個人故事分享的內容是引用McAdams (1993)所提出之涵蓋生活章節、關鍵事件、重要他人、未來藍圖、壓力與難題、個人基本信仰和價值觀、生活主題的個人敘事7大問題為核心架構。如此之操作乃是希望參與研究者可以達到具體投入與反應「接受研究者的心理與社會世界」。 除此,研究者並將靜宜觀光系畢業生之過去與現在學涯職涯生涯故事之問題分開,重新發現和整理那些被隱藏的片段,擺脫問題纏擾,尋回美好的價值觀和期盼,總結個人的職涯發展關鍵人事時地物,並因此重新書寫其生命故事。 本研究企圖是透過生命故事之書寫以促進參與本研究的人們之職涯發展的自我了解與澄清,同時也進而精粹出當事者的職涯發展敘事。隨後,研究者並且經由建構、解構、重構、共構的過程進一步確認當事者的生涯主題敘事基調,並引導當事人能夠修改其生命圖像,並因此而採取積極有效的實質行動以繼續發展其生涯。 本研究最終提出未來故事之建議是,除了從旁給予已畢業靜宜觀光系友第三者意見以幫助其後續之觀光事業發展,並因此而能夠擁有更豐富及多樣化有意義的專業人生。同時,提供研究建議也順便幫助仍然在學靜宜觀光系學生,更實際地擘劃生活設計(life design)與生涯願景以迎接未來其專業職涯發展的意外與挑戰。

In view of the fact that schools can conduct longitudinal surveys through alternative considerations to surpass and complement the past Insufficient cross-sectional research of career development which only at most cover the learning satisfaction, career self-efficacy, career needs, motivation, internship experience, career satisfaction, etc. This study therefore uses a narrative story to conduct a case study of 10 graduates of the Tourism Department at Providence University in 1997. The content of the personal story covered by the study is based on the life-saving chapters, key events, important others, future blueprints, stresses and problems, personal basic beliefs and values, and personal narratives of life themes, which are proposed by McAdams (1993). Such an operation is to hope that the participating researchers can achieve specific inputs and responses "accepting the psychosocial and social world of the researcher." In addition, the researchers separated the past of the 10 graduates of the Tourism Department from the problems of the current career career story, rediscovering and sorting out the hidden fragments, getting rid of the problem and finding good values and expectations. It is hope to summarize the personal career development of key personnel, and thus rewrite the peronal story of life. This research attempt is to promote the self-understanding and clarification of the development of the career of the people involved in the study through the writing of life stories, and at the same time to clarify the career development narrative of the parties. Subsequently, the researcher further confirms the keynote narrative of the subject's career theme through the process of construction, deconstruction, reconstruction, and co-construction, and guides the parties to modify their life images, and thus adopts active and effective substantive actions to continue development. Fnally,the study proposes that the future story is to provide a richer and more diverse and meaningful professional life, in addition to giving the graduates a third-party opinion to help its follow-up tourism development. At the same time, it also provides suggestions to help the students still studying in the Tourism Department, at Providence University more realistic planning of life design and career vision to meet the future of professional career development opportunities and challenges.
