論文名稱:閱讀能力與國家競爭力關係之研究 校院系:國立暨南大學人文學院教育與行政學系 頁數:120 畢業時間:97年7月 學位別:碩士 研究生:曾屏憶 指導教授:蕭霖 博士 論文摘要 本研究探討閱讀能力與國家競爭力的關係,目的有1.探討閱讀能力的相關概念及先進國家閱讀政策。2.了解國際性學生閱讀能力評量(PISA)的內涵。3.分析參與PISA 國家閱讀能力評量結果之差異。4.探討閱讀能力與國家競爭力之關聯。5.根據研究結果提出對我國的建議。資料來自OECD、IMD及WEF 2006年的報告,自變項為閱讀能力分數,依變項為國家競爭力分數。研究結論如下: 一、閱讀能力在高分組的有韓國、香港及芬蘭,吉爾吉斯為最低分。 二、國家競爭力分數為高分組的有芬蘭、香港等國。 三、閱讀能力與國家競爭力皆為高分組的國家有芬蘭、香港等國。 四、閱讀能力與國家競爭力呈現正相關,閱讀能力愈高的國家,國家競爭力愈高,閱讀能力分數最能預測國家競爭力。 根據研究結果提出以下建議: 一、政府應對世界潮流的趨勢應密切關注 二、閱讀能力的培養應植基於家庭 三、應充實圖書館藏書、設備及專業人員 四、課程內容的改革及師資訓練 五、質量並重的閱讀教育 對後續研究者提出以下建議: 一、增加研究變項 二、建立因果模式 三、進行長期的研究 四、結合其他閱讀評量結果 關鍵詞:OECD、PISA、閱讀能力、國家競爭力。

The purposes of this study are to clarify the concept of reading literacy, to realize the concept of PISA(Program for International Student Assessment )and to explore the differences of performance in the countries or economies which participated in PISA 2006. It also explores the relationship between reading literacy and international competitiveness. The data is from the reports of OECD, IMD and WEF. There are one independent and two dependent variables in the study. The findings are as follow : 1. In Korea,Hongkong and Finland, performance on the reading literacy scale is above that of any other country. 2. Some countries got higher scores both in the reports of IMD and WEF. They are Hongkong and Finland. 3. Considering the performance both on reading literacy and international competitiveness, Hongkong and Finland are the best. 4. The countries, which got higher scores in reading literacy, also have higher international competitiveness. The suggestions are as follow : 1. To pay more attention to international trends. 2. To cultivate reading literacy in the childhood. 3. To provide abundant book collection and professional managers of libraries. 4. To replace subject-oriented curriculum with literacy-oriented curriculum 5. To devote more attention to both quality and quantity of reading education. The suggestions for further researches are as follow: 1. To add variables of the study. 2. To have longitude study for reading literacy. 3.
