台灣鋼鐵產業已有六十年的歷史,隨著國內經濟的發展與相關產業之興起,鋼鐵產業的市場態勢亦有所變化。榮剛公司在此產業背景下,以特殊鋼材為切入策略成功成為台灣最具獲利能力的鋼鐵製造商之一,如今已成為台灣特殊鋼材重要的供應商,其成功模式值得研究。鋼鐵產業的發展是一個長期演化的動態過程,受到眾多因素的影響,需要使用具備宏觀與動態處理能力的方法論來探討。本研究以系統動態學方法來探討個案公司的發展歷程,先建立質性環路來探究不同階段的發展結構,並建立量化模式進行政策模擬。研究結果顯示榮剛公司的發展可以分為初期產品開發階段、中期國內口碑建立、後期產業轉型階段等三個時期,其中關鍵的變數包含:產能、技術能力、管理能力、培養研發人員以及資金與成本部分,個案公司以著重產能與技術能力累積的經營策略,獲得更多的訂單量與廠商信任。政策模擬結果顯示出個案公司過去透過引進資訊系統與研發資金投入兩種策略對經營績效有相當程度的幫助。
The Taiwanese steel industry has been developed for sixty years. It is an important foundation for many other industries. The Gloria Material Technology Company (GMTC) penetrated into this industry by targeting on the specialized steel market and successfully become a major player in this industry. This successful case was achieved in a complex industry environment that requires a holistic perspective and methodology to understand. This research used the system dynamics methodology to investigate the development history of GMTC and derived a three-stage model to explain the development process. The result shows that Production capacity, Technical capacity, Management capabilities, R&D personnel training and Costs competence are the key variables in the model. This study also simulated the model in two scenarios. The simulation results show that using information technology and investing in research and development to improve management and technical capacity could be effective strategies to enhance the competences for future growth.
