本文為一個民族誌紀錄片之製作報告,內容是描述一個布農族部落,從台灣第一高峰,玉山,遷移至今天名為「望鄉」的部落。而該部落之命名,亦有「遠眺故鄉」之涵義。 根據布農族人的古老傳說,其祖先們曾歷經一場難以抵擋的大洪水浩劫,當時的人們幾乎全數罹難。而在傳說的最後,布農族人的祖先們,有一部分躲入了玉山的某個山洞中,才得以幸免於難。因此玉山便被布農族人尊稱為「Tongku Saveq」,也就是「一處提供避難的所在」。從此布農族人便將玉山視為聖山。 在本製作報告中,首先我透過人類學的觀點,敘述布農族人的文化背景,以及我如何進行田野調查與蒐集資料。其次我談到影像的前製與後製作業,來說明本紀錄片的製作過程。 這部紀錄片論文,由三大主題而組成,分別為:「玉山的子民」、「被觀光的部落」以及「想家的人」。簡而言之,本紀錄片試圖呈現原住民與土地間,難以割裂的情感連結,並詳實記錄這些年來,布農族人為了重振文化傳統與族群認同所投入心血與努力。
This is a production report of an ethnographic video concerning with a Bunun tribe that migrated from the Yushan Mountain, the highest mountain in Taiwan, to the present village named “Won Shian” that means “looking far into the homeland.” According to Bunun’s legend, their ancestors encountered an irresistible flood that almost killed all of the tribe. At the end of the legend, their ancestors were rescued by hiding in a cave of the Yushan Mountain where the Bunun call it as “Tongku Saveq” that means “a place of refuge.” And “Tongku Saveq” has become a sacred place for the Bunun People since then. In this production report, I first describe the ethnographic background of the Bunun tribe and the way I collected the information. Then, I describe the processes of pre-production and post-production to reveal the ways I made the video. The thesis of this video consists of three themes: the Son of Yushan, the People under Tourism and Returning Homeland. In short, the video tries to show the emotional connection between the indigenous people and the earth and to document the processes they have struggled for reviving their cultural tradition and ethnic identity for the past few years.
