水墨表現於數位影像設計之創作研究

摘要


東方文化多元,選擇具代表性與特色之中國水墨畫之形式作為創作構想,「筆墨」是中國畫的特色、精華所在,水墨更是一種精神文化的表徵,中國水墨藝術的發展,從儒釋道融合所建構的文人畫,到現代西體中用呈現多元的水墨新境,以符合當代藝術創作之需求。 數位科技進步發展的今日,讓科學與藝術相互結合,讓設計風格與表現手法,可以如此多元多樣,這皆是數位科技所賜。數位科技的發展與軟體之進步,無時無刻的左右我們的設計表現,而數位藝術創作過程中的模仿、衍生、創新…等,讓創作表現有全新的樣貌。 本研究創作表現以水墨畫中的筆墨之表現形式,應用於數位影像創作,運用水墨中獨特的濃淡乾濕之特色,結合電腦數位影像特性,將傳統水墨技巧透過電腦數位設計,創造出具豐富精神意涵的水墨意境之美的數位影像設計作品。 本研究創作方法採文獻探討與創作實驗兩部分,來呈現研究結果,首先對於相關文獻進行蒐集、分析及整理,以中國水墨表現技法為創作形式,運用水墨筆法、墨法結合數位影像,將傳統表現融入現代數位影像創作。研究發現: 1.水墨虛與實之觀念的運用,讓設計視覺表現更具層次與張力。 2.筆墨結構與形式特徵,能展現出具文化性之精神象徵。 3.水墨空白表現能讓視覺畫面形成強烈的對比,使主題明顯,背景展現無限廣闊的意境與空間感。 4.美的形式原理結合水墨表現,在數位影像視覺創作中,能強化視覺與傳達之效果。

While there exists a variety of facets to Asian culture, in this study Chinese ink painting is chosen as the elementary creative concept as it definitively is the most representation of Asian culture. “Brush and Ink” is the essence of Chinese painting and without it, a work can’t be called a Chinese painting. The development of Chinese ink art has evolved over time. From the literati paintings that fuse the philosophies of Confucianism and Taoism to the use of Chinese painting skills in a Western framework, ink paintings have expanded into new horizons to meet the needs of contemporary art. Modern advances in digital technology have seen a convergence of art and science. The variety in design styles and presentation techniques can all be attributed to digital technology. The development of digital technology and advances in software also constantly influence our design and presentations. In the digital art process, a constant cycle of imitation, extension and innovation all serve to give art a whole new appearance. The presentation adopted the brush and ink style used in ink painting to digital visual art. By drawing upon the unique characteristics of “Thickness and Paleness, Dryness and Dampness” in ink painting then combining it with the traits of computer digital imagery, ink painting techniques are infused into and expressed through computer digital design. The result is an artwork of digital image design that captures the beauty on a spiritual level of ink painting art. The results of this study are presented in two parts, the first being a review of the literature and the second being experimental art. First, the relevant literature were collected, analyzed and organized. The ink brush painting techniques of Chinese ink paintings were used as the art format, then ink painting techniques and ink treatments were combined with digital imagery. This fused traditional presentation into modern digital image design. During the study, the results showed that: 1.Using the concept of the substantial and insubstantial from ink paintings gave the visual presentation more depth and tension. 2.The structure and form of brush and ink provided a strong cultural identity. 3.The use of empty space in ink paintings created a strong contrast in the visual space, emphasizing the main theme while giving the background a sense of unlimited space. 4.By combining the principles of beauty with the ink painting’s approach, this strengthened the visual communication impact of the digital image design.
