本研究旨在探討基隆市國民中學學生家長,對家長會功能的認知與參與學校事務情形。本研究以文獻探討為基礎,自編問卷作為研究工具,採分層隨機抽樣方式,針對基隆市16所公立國中,依學校規模大小,抽取家長724人作為研究樣本,進行問卷調查,並將問卷所得資料進行描述統計、獨立樣本平均數t檢定、單因子變異數分析、皮爾遜積差相關、重複量數單因子變異數分析等統計方法進行分析。研究結果獲得以下結論: 一、基隆市國中學生家長對家長會功能認知屬於中等程度。 二、基隆市國中學生家長參與學校事務意願屬於中等程度。 三、基隆市不同背景之國中學生家長對於家長會功能認知程度有所不同:男性家長在法令暸解及運作上的認知程度比女性家長高、不同年齡家長對家長會功能認知無顯著差異、家長身分不同其對家長會功能認知程度也不同、教育程度高的學生家長對家長會功能認知程度比較高、家庭收入愈高的學生家長對家長會功能認知也愈高、學校規模中大型的家長對家長會功能認知高於學校規模小的學生家長。 四、基隆市不同背景之國中學生家長其參與學校事務意願有所不同:女性學生家長對於學校活動參與的意願比男性學生家長高、56歲以上的學生家長,具有較高參與意願、家長身分不同其參與校務意願也不同、教育程度高的學生家長參與學校事務意願程度比較高、家庭收入愈高的學生家長參與學校事務意願也愈高、學校規模為25班~35班的學生家長學校活動參與性較高。 伍、基隆市國中學生家長對「家長會功能認知程度」及「參與學校事務意願情形」二者具有正相關。 依據上述結論,分別對教育主管機關、學校、家長及未來研究,提出建議參考。
The purpose of this study was aimed to explore how the students’ parents of Keelung junior high school knew about the functioning of the parent-teacher-association (PTA in short) and their participation in school affairs. The survey research method was adopted and the questionnaires were administered to collect pertainent data in terms of stratified random sampling. 724 parents of 16 public schools in Keelung were concluded as subjects and filled in the questionnaires. The data was analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, The conclusions were as follows: 1. The parents of junior high students bore a medium degree of knowledge about the functioning of the PTA. 2. The parents of Keelung junior high students bore a medium degree of willingness of participating in school affairs. 3. The parents’ knowledge about the functioning of the PTA had significant difference in terms of demographic variables, including sex, background, educational degree, socio-economic status and the school size. 4. The degrees of the parents’ willingness to participate in school affairs had significant difference as well based on demographic variables, including sex, age, background, educational degree, and the school size. 5. The parents’ knowledge about the functioning of the PTA and the degrees of the parents’ willingness to participate in school affairs had positive correlation Based on the abovementioned conclusions, some suggestions were offered to Educational Authority, Keelung junior high schools, parents, and further research respectively.
