運動與男性氣概論述之研究－以台灣棒球的演進系譜為核心

摘要

棒球對台灣人而言，是一項別具歷史意義的運動項目，我們習慣稱之為「國球」，這項運動明顯的是以男性為主體的運動，因此棒球不僅是男性優勢的象徵，所彰顯出的男性氣概，更是一種權力的重要形式。探討男性氣概這個權力的議題，研究採用傅科的系譜學的方法論，來建構台灣棒球論述的演進系譜，及描繪其男性氣概的權力關係圖像。研究結果如下：
一、棒球的主流論述、棒球論述的歷史發展，以及棒球展現出的規訓活動，能符合傅科所建議採用論述的三種主要方式，因此棒球論述作為權力分析的主體，有著知識論上的合適性。
二、在台灣棒球論述的演進系譜上，研究針對論述表現出的現象與特徵，依序提出四種組型，分別稱之為反抗馴化、去日本化、對抗強權及商業休閒，進一步說明各組型得以形成的論述形構。依序的各組型/論述形構之間，並不是處必然與累積性的發展，而應是一種斷裂、偶發狀況下所產生，並透過論述的相互競爭所形構出。
三、在男性氣概的權力關係探討上，首先針對系譜組型分別提出平凡英雄、幕後英雄、國家英雄及運動明星，四種男性氣概的類型，並分析權力的規訓、反抗痕跡，以及指出男性氣概是處於多元、競爭與衝突的關係中，最後研究提出身體的表現、外部的權力關係網，以及內部的權力核心三個部分，共同形構出權力的關係圖像。

As a kind of physical activity, baseball has a symbolic historic significance for Taiwanese people, who view it as the national sport of baseball. It is obviously a male-oriented sport. As a result, baseball not only symbolizes male power but its masculine prerogative also represents hegemonic authority. Michel Foucault’s genealogy was taken as the research method for exploring the genealogical development of baseball in Taiwan, as well as to illustrate the power relations of masculine gender. The study results revealed the following:
1. The discourse of baseball, its historical development and the related rules/activities all met the prerequisites of Foucault’s genealogy. As the subject of power analysis, the discourse possesses the epistemological suitability.
2. In the genealogical development of baseball, four types of the relevant phenomena and characteristics were found: de-domestication, re-territorialization, de-hegemony and commercial recreation. The structure of discourse in each of the above mentioned types was explained. By analyzing the types and their structures of discourse, neither the development of necessity nor accumulation was found. However, there was a broken and occasional situation which was constructed due to its competitive nature.
3. While studying the power relation of masculinity, four categories of masculinity were subdivided: hero in daily life, hero behind the scenes, national hero and sports superstar, based on the genealogy. The analysis of rules and the history of the resistance to power were carried out; they pointed out that masculinity was among the relations of diversity, competition and conflict. Consequently, the body performance, external power connection and internal core power were researched in order to structure a graphic power relational model.
