台灣北區私立技職大學學生人格特質、社團參與與人際關係之相關研究

A Study of How College Students’ Personality, Extracurricular Activities and Interpersonal Relationship Correlate with One Another from Private Technical University in the Northern Taiwan in Terms

摘要


本研究旨在瞭解台灣北區私立技職大學學生人格特質、社團參與與人際關係之相關外,並分析不同背景學生人格特質、社團參與與人際關係之差異情形,最後探討不同人格特質、社團參與對人際關係的預測力。採用量化問卷調查方式蒐集資料,研究工具參考相關研究、資料編製之問卷,運用項目分析驗證信度,進行專家評定內容效度。問卷內容分為四個部分,第一部分為「個人基本資料」;第二部分為「人格特質」;第三部分為「社團參與」;第四部分為「人際關係」。並以100學年度台灣北區科技大學1,200位學生為研究對象,有效問卷為980份,並以SPSS 18.0中文版進行描述統計、皮爾遜積差相關及迴歸分析等統計方法逐一分析。本研究獲致下列結果: 一、台灣北區私立技職大學學生以傾向外向性人格特質較多,而神經質人格特質則較少 二、台灣北區私立技職大學學生社團參與屬中上程度,其中又以增進生活能力最有助益 三、台灣北區私立技職大學學生人際關係的發展屬中上程度,以解決衝突能力的發展為強,人際認知能力發展為最弱 四、台灣北區私立技職大學學生不同性別、就讀年級等變項之人格特質不具差異性存在;社團屬性在謹慎性人格特質經事後比較不具差異 五、台灣北區私立技職大學學生就讀工程、電子資訊學院較商、管學院具神經質人格特質;傾向神經質人格特質以無社團參與經驗學生為高;參加社團二年以上年資學生較一年以下謹慎性人格特質較多;擔任社(會)長職務學生人格特質(神經質、外向性及謹慎性)較社員明顯 六、台灣北區私立技職大學就讀不同學院學生之社團參與不具差異性存在 七、台灣北區私立技職大學女性、四年級學生及具二年以上年資之社會化能力高於男性、二年級及一年以下;有社團參與經驗、聯誼性社團及具社(會)長職務的學生較能獲得社會化、生活能力的經驗學習及自我統合能力的發展 八、台灣北區私立技職大學學生就讀不同年級之人際關係(整體)及各向度不具差異性存在;人際關係之解決衝突向度之社團年資、社團屬性、社團職務不具差異 九、台灣北區私立技職大學女性學生之人際支持、解決衝突、人際需求及人際互動高於男性;就讀商、管學院之解決衝突及人際需求高於工程、電子資訊學院;人際支持以自治、綜合性高於康樂、體育性及未參與 十、台灣北區私立技職大學學生人格特質、社團參與與人際關係呈現正相關,以傾向謹慎性人格特質與自我統合之相關程度為最高;外向性人格特質與人際認知之影響程度最高;社會化能力與人際認知發展相關程度最高 十一、台灣北區私立技職大學學生之人格特質與社團參與可以有效地預測人際關係,尤其以對人際認知最具預測解釋力 本研究亦根據研究發現提出建議,以供高等教育、私立技職校院、實施社團參與經驗學習、私立技職大學學生及後續研究者之參考。

The purpose of this study is to investigate how personality, extracurricular activities and interpersonal relationship correlate with one another for students from Private technical University in the northern Taiwan. The quantitative questionnaire is adopted as the methodology for this research with the advice of several specialists in the field on the validity of the questionnaire. The questionnaire is divided into four sections: first, personal information; second, personality traits; third, club participation; fourth, interpersonal relationship. In this project, I studied 1,200 students from Private technical universities in the northern Taiwan in 2011. The valid copies of the questionnaire are 980. With the help of SPSS 18.0 Chinese version for descriptive statistics, Pearson product-moment correlation and regression analysis, I have ascertained the following findings as far as students from Private technical University in the northern Taiwan are concerned: 1. Students with outgoing personalities outnumber those with neurotic personalities. 2. The participation in their extracurricular activities is rated in the upper-intermediate level with a result in bettering their survival skills. 3. Their interpersonal relationship is seen in the upper-intermediate level of development with their strength of conflict resolution and their weakness of interpersonal cognitive development. 4. Gender and different years of college do not exhibit any differences in personality. 5. Those who major in engineering and electronic information technology appear to have more neurotic personalities. Those without participating in any extracurricular activities tend to appear more neurotic than those who did. Those with more than two-year participation in extracurricular activities tend to be more cautious than those with less than one-year participation. Leaders of clubs tend to display more neurotic, outgoing and cautious personalities than club members. 6. Insofar as their participation in extracurricular activities, there is no difference between University. 7. Females, seniors, and those with two-year work experience or above have better social skills than males, sophomores, and freshmen. Those who have the experience with extracurricular activities and have worked as club leaders have better development in socialization, survival skills and self-identity. 8. Different years of college do not show any differences in interpersonal relationship of all respects. The ability to resolve conflicts in interpersonal relationship does not mark any difference in how many years one is involved in extracurricular activities, how the activities are categorized and what role one assumes in the activities. 9. Females have more interpersonal communication, conflict resolution, interpersonal needs and interaction than males. Those studying at University of business and management have more needs for conflict resolution and interpersonal relationship than those at University of engineering and electronic information. Those who have participated in extracurricular activities have more interpersonal communication, cognition, needs and interaction than those without any experience with them. 10. There is a positive correlation among their personalities, participation in extracurricular activities and interpersonal relationship-- cautious personality and self-regulation, outgoing personality and interpersonal cognition, social abilities and interpersonal cognition development are highly correlated. 11. The findings of this research help account for interpersonal relationship in the correlation between personality and participation in extracurricular activities, especially in the respect of interpersonal cognition.
