許常惠與楊喚的相遇——許常惠作品23號《楊喚詩十二首》之研究

摘要


2011年是許常惠教授逝世十週年紀念,許教授是近五十年來對台灣音樂現代化、國際化,以及民族音樂之研究保存有著卓越貢獻的台灣音樂界奇人。基於對許教授的景仰,同時深受家父——台灣戰後第一代詩人及作家——林鍾隆先生及於師大音樂研究所碩士專班學習期間,恩師席慕德教授教導德文藝術歌曲的影響,引發作者將音樂與文學結合在一起的歌樂研究的興趣,經過一番探索旅程,遂有本詮釋報告之產生。 本詮釋報告係以許常惠作品23號——《楊喚詩十二首》為研究標的,透過文獻探討法及比較分析法,期望透過將蓃集得來的文獻資料加以整理、分析及比較,得以更深入地了解許常惠教授與詩人楊喚的生平、著作及在音樂與文學方面的成就與影響,進而再針對研究主題(許常惠的音樂與楊喚的詩的相遇)的結合加以進一步說明,同時提出個人對演唱及詮釋許常惠作品23號之心得及看法。 經過本詮釋報告的研究,我們可以明顯看出許常惠教授在法國學成歸國後,是以巴爾托克為努力的楷模,致力於將中國的音樂素材與西洋的作曲技法作完美的融合。一字一音仍為研究標的最常見的手法,忠於原詩也在研究標的中清晰可見許教授的一貫風格。於此同時,許教授嘗試各種不同風格以各種不同的語法來呈現每首詩,對於每首詩皆相當用心的經營,以致讓每一首作品皆有不同樣貌,豐富了演唱者的技巧及內涵,誠屬難能可貴。

2011 symbolizes 10th anniversary of the death of Professor Hsu Tsang Houei, a legendary figure in Taiwan’s music circles, who has remarkable contributions in globalization and modernization of Taiwanese music, along with preserving Taiwanese folk music and upgrading the status of local music artists, for the past 50 years. Admiring Professor Hsu, and influenced by my father, Mr. Lin Chung Lung, 1st generation writer and poet after World War II in Taiwan, as well as encouraged by Ms. Hsi Mu Teh, Professor of Music Department in NTNU and my instructor during my study in the Graduate Program of Music in the past six years, I began the long journey in researching how literature (poetry) and music (song and melody) can be combined in music works. This interpretation report focuses on the study of research subject matter, i.e., (set to music by 12 POEMS OF YANG-HUAN——HSU TSANG-HOUEI Op. 23). Through comparative and bibliographical approach, this interpretation report intends to analyze the research subject matter via the materials collected for the poet Yang Huan and Professor Hsu, including but not limited to their tune styles, how such works shall be interpreted in songs, etc. Through this interpretation report, it is discovered that following the French folk music scholar, Mr. Constantin Brailoiu, Professor Hsu did achieve in combining Chinese music elements and western melody composition skills, which can be clearly seen in the research subject matter reflecting the method of one-word-one-note. In addition, Professor Hsu was very loyal in reflecting the true spirit of Yang Huan’s poetry in the research subject matter and worked very hard in giving each piece of work a unique picture by different styles and syntax, which has enriched not only thoughtfulness but also singing skill for singers who interpret the research subject matter.
