新北市國民中學教師對教學不力行為規準之研究

A Study on the Ineffective Teaching Criteria of Teachers in the Public Junior High Schools in New Taipei City

摘要


本研究的目的是希望透過問卷調查的方式,了解新北市國民中學教師對教學不力行為規準之研究,針對教學語課程設計、班級經營與輔導、研究發展與進修以及敬業精神與態度等四個層面的知覺程度。為了能達到此一目的透過問卷調查,以分層隨機抽樣抽取新北市30所國民中學的校長及教師作為施測對象,共發出326份問卷,有效問卷301份,有效問卷回收率93%,並以描述性統計、獨立樣本t檢定,及單因子變異數分析等統計方法。本研究發現有以下十點: 一、 新北市國民中學教師對「敬業精神及態度層面」之教學不力行為規準知覺程度較高,而對「研究發展與進修層面」的知覺較低。 二、 新北市國民中學教師依其擔任職務、服務年資、教育程度以及學校規模的不同,會對教學不力之行為規準之「課程設計與教學層面」的知覺程度有明顯的差異。 三、 新北市國民中學教師依其年齡、擔任職務、服務年資以及教育程度的不同,會對「班級經營與輔導層面」之教學不力行為規準的知覺程度有明顯差異。 四、 新北市國民中學教師依其年齡、擔任職務、服務年資以及學校規模的不同,會對「研究發展與進修層面」之教學不力行為規準的知覺程度有明顯差異。 五、 新北市國民中學教師依其年齡、擔任職務、服務年資、教育程度以及學校規模的不同,會對教學不力之行為規準之「敬業精神與態度」的知覺程度有明顯的差異。 六、 新北市國民中學教師認為在「課程設計與教學層面」之教學不力行為規準中,應以「教師無法正確教授任教單元的教材內容」較為重要;而「教師無法點出學生學習新課程或概念所具備之先備知識」較不重要。 七、 新北市國民中學教師認為在「班級經營與輔導層面」之教學不力行為規準中,應以「教師若以言語羞辱學生,造成學生心理傷害」較為重要;而「教師無法引導學生與同儕進行合作學習」較不重要。 八、 新北市國民中學教師認為在「研究發展與進修層面」之教學不力行為規準中,應以「教師不參與校內各種教學研究會議(或出席率低於1/2)」較為重要;而「教師不參與教師專業發展評鑑或專業學習社群」較不重要。 九、 新北市國民中學教師認為在「敬業精神與態度層面」之教學不力行為規準中,應以「教師不願意投入時間與精力」較為重要;而「教師未能進行自我教學省思,了解自己的教學優缺點」較不重要。 十、 新北市國民中學教師不同性別、年齡、擔任職務、教學年資、教育程度、學校規模,均一致認為教學不力行為規準中,以教師敬業精神與態度方面較為重要,而研究發展與進修較為不重要。 根據上述研究發現與結論,提出相關建議,以供教育局、學校行政單位、教師及未來研究者之參考。

This study intended to utilize the questionnaire survey to explore the opinions of teachers in New Taipei City about Ineffective Teaching Criteria in four dimensions, including “Teaching and Curriculum Design”, “Class Management and Guidance”, “Research and Further Studying”, and “Professionalism and Working Attitude.”Based on stratified ratio sampling, there were 326 research subjects selected from 30 public junior high schools in New Taipei City. 301 copies of the questionnaires received were valid with the survey availability of 93%. Descriptive statistics, Independent-Sample t-test and one–way ANOVA (analysis of variance) were used to analyze the survey data. Ten major findings are as follows: 1. The perceptions of Ineffective Teaching Criteria among teachers the junior high school in New Taipei City are higher in the dimension of Professionalism and Working Attitude and lower in the dimension of Research and Further Studying. 2. The perception degree in the dimension of Teaching and Curriculum Design is variable due to the differences of levels of jobs, years of teaching, educational degree, and the sizes of schools. 3. The perception degree in the dimension of Class Management and Guidance is variable due to the differences of ages, levels of jobs, years of teaching, educational degree, and the sizes of schools. 4. The perception degree in the dimension of Research and Further Studying is variable due to the differences of ages, levels of jobs, years of teaching, educational degree, and the sizes of schools. 5. The perception degree in the dimension of Professionalism and Working Attitude is variable due to the differences of ages, levels of jobs, years of teaching, educational degree, and the sizes of schools. 6. In the dimension of Teaching and Curriculum Design, the most important factor considered in the evaluation of ineffective teaching by teachers among New Taipei City is that teachers can’t teach the textbook correctly, and the least important factor is that teachers can’t provide the background knowledge for students before learning a new unit. 7. In the dimension of Class Management and Guidance, the most important factor considered in the evaluation of ineffective teaching by teachers among New Taipei City is that teachers insult students with languages and cause damage to them psychologically, and the least important factor is that teachers can’t guide students in peer or cooperative learning. 8. In the dimension of Research and Further Studying, the most important factor considered in the evaluation of ineffective teaching by teachers among New Taipei City is that teachers didn’t attend teaching meeting or the presence rate is lower than 50% , and the least important factor is that teachers didn’t join teacher professional development evaluation program or professional learning community program. 9. In the dimension of Professionalism and Working Attitude, the most important factor considered in the evaluation of ineffective teaching by teachers among New Taipei City is that teachers don’t want to endeavor their time and energy in working , and the least important factor is that teachers can’t reflect on their teaching and didn’t know their advantages and disadvantages in their teaching. 10. Teachers of different genders, ages, levels of jobs, years of teaching, educational degrees, and sizes of schools among the junior high school teachers in New Taipei City all think the dimension of Professionalism and Working Attitude is more important than the dimension of Research and Further Studying in the Ineffective Teaching Criteria . According to the findings and conclusions mentioned above, related suggestions are provided as a reference to the Bureau of Education, school administrative units, teachers, and future researchers
