This study aims to comprehend the impact of travel on the travelers’ career view, and to explore their career view transition experiences. Qualitative data of this study was collected based on the five travelers with purposive sampling by semi-structured interview. The data was coded and analyzed under the basis of the phenomenological method. The results showed that when the participants lived without passion of their daily life and sense of direction for the future, they changed their lifestyle through the traveling. Non-routine experiences helped the travelers to be aware of themselves more. When they came back to their original life, they tried to find ways to connect with their inner and outer world by responding proactively, using open-minded attitude and maintaining a clear intention. The four stages of the travelers’ career view transition process are: (a) Reaching an impasse; (b) Crossing the impasse; (c) Into a liminality; and (d) Reorientation. Finally, according to the research process and findings, the limits of this study and suggestions were also proposed.
