北區高中棒球聯會文化之研究

A study on the culture of North District High School Baseball Association

摘要

本研究旨在分析北區高中棒球聯會之成立背景因素、發展歷程、運作阻礙和運動文化。本研究蒐集臺灣棒球文化、北區高中棒球聯會相關文獻資料，並對北區高中棒球聯會之會長、指導老師、教練和學生棒球聯盟副會長進行半結構式訪談。研究結果發現，1990年代開始休閒意識抬頭，社會風氣逐漸開放，廣設大學政策讓大學入學的窄門放寬，加上政府週休二日的施行，家長開始較能接受學生在課餘時間從事休閒活動。1995年開始舉辦的金龍旗更掀起了高中棒球熱潮，許多學校紛紛衝著金龍旗成立棒球社團，但與棒球傳統學校的實力差距，各個學校希望自己來辦比賽玩得過癮，這一切的背景因素都促成了北區高中棒球聯會的成立。聯會從1999年的寒假期間舉辦第一次的冬季聯賽，到了2001年，更開始在暑假期間擴大舉辦夏季聯賽，2006年新竹高中加入聯會，顯示聯會影響範圍開始擴及到臺北縣市以外，此後參賽隊伍數大幅提升，2012年的夏季聯賽，參與隊數更高達了57隊創下歷史新高，顯示聯會的成功發展。聯會在場地、經費上皆有遇到阻礙，領導階層的不固定，傳承性不佳，高中生的能力限制，和畢業學長姐的連結性不夠，都造成組織無法有效經營，進而產生功能性侷限的狀況。臺灣學生棒球的菁英功利主義，經濟成長伴隨著社會力量興起，教育政策的改變，這些社會結構影響聯會運動文化的形成，全面提升參與、回歸教育意義、不仰賴政府補助。誠如文化研究強調之接合的觀點，北區高中棒球聯會的創立都是在重要組織的中介與互動下，在彼此不同的政治、經濟、教育的脈絡中，接合在一起，少了他們的能動性，臺灣的乙組棒球可能就會是另外一番不同的面貌，亦或是類似北區聯會高中棒球聯會的組織會在不同的時間點出現，接合成不同的模樣。

The purpose of this study is to analyze the background factors, the development process, the obstacles to the operation, and the sport culture of the North District High School Baseball Association. This article applied literature review and semi-structured interview as research methods. The respondents include: president and the cadres. The study result shows, since mid-1990, the implement of two-day weekend and the program of “Broaden establishing college” which raised the college admission rate resulted in that high school students had more spare time to engage in recreational activities. The Gold Dragon Cup launched in 1995 was all the rage with high school students, and therefore many schools had set up their own baseball teams. Accordingly, the above factors accelerated the establishment of the North District High School Baseball Association. The Association organized the first winter league during the winter of 1999, and began to expand the summer league during the summer of 2001. HCHS joined the Association in 2006. Thus it can be seen, the influence of the Association has spread out of Taipei City and Taipei County. Thereafter, the number of teams increased dramatically. There are 57 teams in the summer league of 2012, and this record high proves the successful development of the Association. North District High School Baseball Association faces difficulty both with the game field and funds. Furthermore, the unstable leadership and the lack of connection between high school students and alumni caused the ineffective operation and the functional limitations in the organization. Social structures affect the formation of sport culture in the Association, which are to enhance the participation, to make sense of education, and to operate without government subsidies. As cultural studies stressed the point of view of the articulation, North District High School Baseball Association was founded in the articulation of different political, economical, and educational context. Lack of their agency, Taiwanese second division baseball may have some other different look.
