在上個世紀的六○年代,反文化運動在美國風起雲湧,而隨之盛行的「嬉皮(Hippies)文化」,打著反傳統、反社會不公、反戰、反暴力、反核的鮮明旗幟,對當時的年輕一代產生不小的鼓動。藉由搖滾樂、普普設計和迷幻藝術的推波助燃之下,嬉皮文化產生了極為獨特的影像風格。然而,嬉皮文化畢竟只是反文化運動下的一個次文化,反應出特定族群的反叛生活形式,存在的時間也十分短暫,但卻樹立了六○年代獨特的視覺環節。 雖然嬉皮文化已隨時間的演進而步入歷史,但時至今日,仍有部份的設計師沿用當時嬉皮文化的影像風格,並融合當代的精神,形成一股懷舊卻具時代感的獨特風格,而且隨著文化的多元性,與電腦繪圖科技的進步,這樣的風格仍然一直在不停的轉變而更加的具複合性風格,可見其具有無窮的創作潛力。 本研究綜合整理反文化運動的始末,進而推究當時影響嬉皮文化的兩種主要設計風格,分別是普普設計和迷幻藝術風格,並整理分析其視覺元素,進而歸納嬉皮文化的應用範圍,進行統整資料以作為往後相關風格運用之依據與法則。
In the sixties, the counter-cultural movement in the U.S.A., turned into the hippie culture, with the slogan of anti-tradition, anti-social unjust, anti-war, anti-violence, anti-nuclear. Thereupon, it became a major force for the younger generation at than. The idea was incited by rock-n-roll music, pop design and psychedelic art; hippie culture had produced a distinct image style. However, hippie culture is only a sub-culture under the counter-cultural movement after all, reflecting the rebellious life-form of some specific ethnicities, its existence was also very short, however, it had established the unique transition between the design movements of the sixties. Though hippie culture has already become part of the history, but even to this day, some designers continue to merge elements of hippie culture into the contemporary spirit, which forms a modern art form, which celebrates the uniqueness of the hippie culture in the past. As the for techniques computer graphics advances, this style of art form has been ever changing, which shows its endless possibilities. This research is to organize the counter-cultural movement from the beginning to the end and looks into the two major elements of the hippie culture, the pop design and the psychedelic art. By analyzing its visual elements, would be able to organize the range of its usage, which would help in categorizing its elements to be used as a model for future reference in related styles.
